Best Wishes

Best Wishes by Judyt28
Best Wishes, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

I made this card yesterday for my neighbour who is French speaking.
My Simon Says Stamp falling snow stencil arrived on Monday so I just had to put it to use right away with some white embossing paste.
Masked the oval centre, stamped the Penny Black Xmas tree with pearl white embossing powder and applied some various distress inks.
Added some Lagoon stickles to resemble tiny ornaments, twine and sentiment.

Fun stamp

Fun stamp, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Hi everyone,

I was cleaning (organizing again) in my craft room this morning and came across this fun stamp. I remember that when I bought it the store owner and I had a good laugh. It makes me smile! I decided to hang it up where I can see it every time I'm in my craft room.
I don't know how many times my dear husband has said that I have a little glitter here or there. I look at it as a sign of my creativity!
Anyways I hope you enjoy it too!

Pop up gift card holders

Inside of card#2
Hi everyone, Just popping in to share a couple of pop up gift card holders that I made. They were made with papers and embellishments - sadly to say that I didn't use any stamps except for the sentiment. I made the mistake of signing the cards before I actually took the photos. They were super easy to make. I did attach a little tag saying 'please slide ribbon down to open'. Much easier than trying to untie the ribbon. I popped in a little gift card in each for the liquor/wine store so they can select something they like. Aren't gift cards just the right ticket! Anyways thanks for stopping. Got to go out and help hubby shovel and scrape the ice off the car windows. We were kinda house bound this weekend due to the weather so have to run out today to do a few more errands. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! Judy

Merriest wishes

Merriest wishes by Judyt28
Merriest wishes, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Hi everyone,
It's been a while since my last post what with baking, cooking and spending Sunday shoveling out from 30 cms of snow. I must admit though it does look pretty! No doubt about having a white Christmas.
So I thought I would take a break and get into my room to create. Well I decided to try out the Country Landscape die from Memory Box. I love this die!
I coloured the trees with green marker and then added glossy accents on top but unfortunately the trees seem to look black instead of dark green. Oh well!!
I added some chunky glitter on the roof tops and for the snow border.
Popped it all up against a turquoise background which I added some stars with Versamark ink. It's already off in the mail to my co-worker.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look!

Noel tag

Noel tag by Judyt28
Noel tag, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.
Hi everyone,
Just popped in to share a tag that I had created for last week's Wednesday challenge at Simon Says Stamp.
The theme is Anything Goes and if you have Tim Holtz products, the better!
Here I used all Tim Holtz products to create the background of my tag.
I first applied the snowman mask to my tag then applied different Distress inks on my craft sheet, spritzed with some water and tapped the tag onto the mix of inks. This is my favorite technique! When that was dry I added a snowflake mask and used my dauber to add some Iced Spruce ink around that.
I decided the background was too plain so decided to add a few white drops of paint for some snow. Still too plain I then decided to add some Distress crackle paint to the whole tag which gave it a nice wet look, kinda icy finish.
Took some wooden snowflakes and added some Vintage photo to those to darken them up a little.
The Noël is a chipboard piece which I added gold Stickles to.
Added some wide, shiny gold ribbon and a little black rhinestone for the snowman's eye. Also rubbed some gold metallic around the edgesl.
I probably didn't apply all the inks and such to the tag in quite the order that they should have been but I was quite pleased with the results.
Hope you like it too and thanks for stopping!

Merry Christmas snowflake

Merry Christmas by Judyt28
Merry Christmas, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card created using the Impression Obsession's large snowflake die (DIE093-X). This is actually a 3-1 snowflake that when cut out produces 3 very beautiful snowflakes. So versatile.
I resurrected my brayer (remember that tool) to create the blue background using the Kaleidacolor Blue Breezes ink pad. Then die cut another snowflake from silver glitter c/s to create the centre.
Sentiment is from Hero Arts to which I added some glitter to the word Merry for some extra shine.
Thanks for stopping by!

'Tis the season

'Tis the season

'Tis the season, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.
Hello everyone,

I know the Online Card Classes Holiday Workshop 2013 is over for another year but I just had to show this card.
I loved Laura Bassen's technique so much in Day 3 of class that I just had to try my hand at another plaid card as was her example in Day 5 of His and Hers cards.
Laura showed us how to create this card using a stencil and inks.
I unfortunately did not have a diagonal strip stencil so I laid down strips of Eclipse masking paper.
I must say that it was a little tedious and probably took me about an hour or more to lay down the strips but I think the result speaks for itself.
I applied all the strips one way, added Festive Berries distress ink, pulled the strips off and then laid down the opposite diagonal strips and used Pine Needles distress ink. When all was complete I thought that maybe I should have applied the ink a little heavier but this was the effect that I achieved.
Well you can imagine that I have added a diagonal stencil to my wish list.
Anyways thanks for stopping by and hope you like my card.

Happy holidays

Happy holidays by Judyt28
Happy holidays, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Hi everyone,
This card is for the Online Card Classes Holiday Workshop 2013.
The talented Debby Hughes did a beautiful snowflake card but I decided to change it up a little and did use the paste embossing technique.
I started with the Aspen Trees stencil from The Crafters Workshop and applied a nice even coverage of paste.
The little birdies were die cut from The Memory Box resting birds set.
I used Wink of Stella on the 2 little birdies and silver embossed the larger birdie a few times to add even more volume to the bird. Just keep dunking it in the embossing powder while the powder is still hot. It gives a very nice even full coverage.
I didn't have a nice little curvy sentiment so I actually used a sticker and fussy cut it out.
Added some Hero Arts clear gemstones to the card and there you have it.
Thanks Debby!
I love this paste embossing technique as the results are amazing.
Thanks for having a look and I do appreciate your comments.

'Tis the Season for..., a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

One of the ideas in the current challenge at Hero Arts is to use one of your favourite things.
I chose to do a card using watercolour with distress inks. I love watercolour anything!
I actually applied the inks first to watercolour paper and then I embossed the snowflake in white over the inked background.
I used an embossing folder for the card base, added the strip panel and snowflake
The sentiment is continued on the inside with the word Magic.
I actually bought this stamp set (16 stamps in total) from a dollar store for $2.75. Quite a find I think.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Sizzix/Hero Arts Dots #5 embossing folder (658285)
Snowflake - HA CL562
Sentiments - TPC Studio - Christmas Treasures (2009869)

Thankful

Thankful by Judyt28
Thankful, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

I have entered this card in this week's Tuesday Trigger at [http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2013/10/tuesday-trigger-enthralled-with-fall.html] I used a very old stamp here for the leaves and various distress inks on watercolour paper.
The stamp is E-1046 from PSX.
It was from a collection of stamps that my mother sent to me back in 2001. I like the veiny detail on the leaf.
I stamped the leaves close together and then cut out around the whole piece. Mounted them against a wood grain panel from Simon Says Stamp.
I added Wink of Stella to the edges of each leaf but it is kind of difficult to see in the photo.
The sentiment is from a BoBunny set called Apple Cider clear stamps (13205364).
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the day!

Neon Christmas trees

Neon trees by Judyt28
Neon trees, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Well it is fast approaching the holiday season yet again. It seems like we haven't even finished with Halloween yet and it's time to move into the Christmas theme.
I created this card for the current challenge over at Hero Arts in the category of Merry and Bright. The idea is to create a card using neon colours.
I chose the HA tree stamp which I clear embossed using the Hero Arts cube neon inkers (which comes in a set of 4 colours).
Cut out the trees, popped dotted for extra dimension and added coordinating sequins.
The strips down the side are washi tape.
I appreciate you stopping by to have a look.

Scramble #71 (1), a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Today I am hosting my very first HA Flickr group scramble.
I went with a snowflake theme as so many of us our now in winter mode in this part of the globe. Fall is not quite behind us yet but soon the falling leaves will give way to beautiful white snowflakes.

Happy Card Making Day

Fall by Judyt28
Fall, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

I made this Fall card to celebrate World Card Making Day and also the arrival of Fall - my favorite time of year.
I used the Cuttlebug chicken wire embossing folder for the background to the leaves.
Cut out the shape with a Sizzix die.
The leaves were done using a Magenta stencil to which I added lots of watercolours using distress inks. The kraft cs panel was clear stamped using the HA Snow Dot background.
The letters are white chipboard stickers from Basic Grey which I added cup'o joe ink. I added a little extra by scratching the letters with a pin to give them a woodsy effect.
Added a sparkly button and some twine.
Hope you have a chance to create a card today to celebrate and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Halloween, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Here I've used the Halloween die from IO (029-P) and die cut it twice, once in black and again in white.
I then embossed the dark purple background using the Fall Leaf Background embossing folder from Darice.
Added some shimmer sheet for the window, a yellow sliver for the moon and brushed on a little grey ink to the all the other pieces. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado (98627 All Hallow's Eve).
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Happy Birthday & Hello card set

Hello again,

I made these 2 cards (4.5x 4.5") following Jennifer McGuire's inlay technique video.
The dies I used are Memory Box Isabella Butterfly & Prized Chrysantheum Background.
I laid down all the different strips and then die cut the pieces.
I must admit that it was a little time consuming but I think the results are fantastic!
If you haven't try her technique yet you really should give it a try.
It really is a lot of fun!
Thanks for stopping by to have a look. Much appreciated!

Hi everyone,
Made this card for Scramble #68 hosted by Kailash (HA Flickr member) where the challenge was to use washi or decorative tape.
I choice washi tape in neon colours. I just love, love neon. Sort of a final bright tribute to summer seeing as Fall is just around the corner.
First I applied all the washi tape strips and then ran the piece through the birds & swirls embossing folder by Cuttlebug.
I stamped the butterfly and sentiment usng the HA thoughtful messages set (CL184).

Beaded bracelet with cat clasp

A few years back I had strayed from the card making path as I think I had mentioned in my profile to try my hand at some jewelry making.
While I enjoyed it immensely my heart was still with the card making.
I never uploaded any of my created pieces to Flickr or Pinterest but have decided to do so now. Maybe someone else can enjoy them also.
So from time to time I will be throwing in some pictures of my jewelry.
Not to say that I won't get back into it again but I think I might keep that on hold until I retire.
Hopefully I will have oodles and oodles of time then to share my two passions.
So enjoy this piece and look out from time to time for others.
Thanks for stopping by to have a look!

Happy holidays

Happy holidays by Judyt28
Happy holidays, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Well I don't usually make Christmas cards in the summer but when the challenge came along at http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.ca/?m=0 to make a card using buttons I had an idea for these pearl drop buttons. I think my mom gave them to me years ago.
I started by stamping the HA (H5629) tree with dark blue ink and then clear embossed.
I added each pearl button by stringing them with silver metallic thread. You can see the criss cross of thread if you look carefully.
The background paper is the Winter Wishes pad from Echo Park.
The sentiment is Peny Black Holiday Repeat (3252F).
Popped up the two centre panels.
Thanks for stopping to have a peak at my button card.

Happy Saturday,

I hope you are enjoying a relaxing day. I created this card for the challenge at http://casethissketch.blogspot.ca/
I used the Simon Says Leaf column and Leaf outline dies for this card and die cut several different colours of cardstock.
Die cut the centre column from black cs.
Took a little whole to assemble but I love the result.
Sentiment is from HA which I pop dotted the centre of the banner for a little depth.
Also used some black petals for the 4 corners.
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.
I really appreciate your comments.

Happy Sunday everyone,

It's a lazy afternoon here. Enjoyed a nice yoga class this morning which set me up for the day. We just finished with a nice rainfall here which I quite enjoyed outside while sitting under my gazebo tent.
I find it so peaceful and relaxing listening to the rain. I think that's probably what inspired me to create this card.

Enjoy and have a happy day!

The Forest

The Forest by Judyt28
The Forest, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Thought I would just pop in tonight to share this card with you.
I absolutely love, love this technique. I had tried this technique before in the past and was so happy that Kristina Werner introduced it again in today's Summer Camp card making class (Online Card Classes).
It is such a really fun technique but in my estimation used not nearly enough.
The results can be absolutely stunning depending on the colours. Imagine the wings on a butterfly done using this technique.
If you haven't tried it yet honestly you really should give it a go. Trust me you'll love it. When I showed it to my husband tonight after I had taken the photo his comment was that he thought this was one of the best cards I have ever done.
Makes me want to make some more.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by to have a look see.

Thinking of you , a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Just wanted to share this card with you. I'm taking the Summer Camp online card classes http://onlinecardclasses.com/summercardcamp2/?p=196
This card is based on the one that Jennifer McGuire taught in the class. I didn't have a feather die or stamp so I used flower petals from a stamp set that I have from quite a while ago (Bonnidee).
I stamped the petals on watercolour paper and clear embossed. I then applied various distress inks and spritzed with water.
Die cut the window with a plain circle and added a scalloped green circle to the back.
The little cluster circles (Outlines) is one stamp which I inked with a combination of green and brown inks.
Added the sentiment and some pearls.
I had so much fun making this card.
Thanks for stopping to have a look.

Inks used - Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Peacock Feathers, Gathered Twigs.

Well I caught up with the Online Card Classes Summer Camp 2 http://onlinecardclasses.com/summercardcamp2/

Seeing as I registered a week late for the classes it took me the better part of yesterday to get in the groove. I'm on track and ready to go for the start of week 2 tomorrow. Wow! This 1st week was so much fun.
I have uploaded 5 cards to Flickr so you can check them out.
This particular card was a technique that Shari Carroll shared. I didn't quite have the exact supplies that she used so I substituted and used distress inks on watercolour paper. Die cut several different coloured stars using the Cosmic Star set from Memory Box. TFL! Oh and I can't wait to see what this week brings. Tee hee!
I'm excited!

Happy Friday!

Hello and happy Friday everyone, As I have been looking in on Flickr this week I have noticed some amazingly beautiful cards posted by gals taking the Summer Card Camp 2 online classes. I had checked it out before the classes started but I guess I really didn't look too closely. Well I have decided that I am missing out. Big time! The very lengthy list of wonderful participating artists sharing their incredible talent and also all of you Flickr and blogger ladies was too good to pass up. Well, I whipped out my credit card and in 5 quick little minutes I was in. Phew!!! I guess I have a little catching up to do but I'm up to the task. So keep an eye out and check in for some of my posts. Happy stamping! Judy

Happy Saturday,

I am sharing this card today that I just finished for the current Hero Arts challenge which is to make a one layer card.
I used the Everyday Flowers stamp which I embossed in white on a masked section of the Kraft cs.
I then used the Inktense pencils (love these) to watercolour the flowers.
Cut a green curvy strip with my Exacto knife following the curve of my stamped image.
Added the sentiment in Walnut stain distress ink and used my Signa white pen to add some little white dots to the flower centres. Got to love that little white pen!!!
Added some sequins for a little pop of colour.

Pretty in pink!, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Happy Canada Day!

Hope you'll be enjoying some fireworks in your area tonight to celebrate our 146th Birthday. Woo hoo!

I have a card to share that I am entering in http://theplaydatecafe.blogspot.ca/2013/06/pretty-in-pastel.html?m=1
The challenge is to create a card using pastel colours (raspberry, lilac and pink).
I stamped the flowers from the Penny Black petal party set with Color Box chalk inks in berrylicious, pink and lavender which I masked before stamping each one.
The sentiment is from WOW! Everyday Sentiments.
I had a nice round of black dots in the centre of the raspberry flower with enamel accents but before it was completely dry I smudged it with my finger. Hence the big pink button. Gotta love those embellishments.
Thanks for stopping and enjoy,

Come fly away..., a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.
Happy Sunday everyone,

Hope you are out enjoying what I hope in your area is a beautiful summer's day. It finally is here considering it's the long Canada Day weekend.
I created this card for this week's challenge at http://addictedtocas.blogspout.ca/
I stamped the balloon with Colorbox Berrylicious chalk ink.
The clouds were stamped with pale blue ink which I masked a couple of them behind the balloon.
I then stamped a fourth cloud which I cut out and popped it up over top of one of the clouds.
Added some white enamel accents to some of the clouds to add a little effect and then cut 2 strips of patterned paper to add across the bottom of the card.
When all done I added the light blue frame over the whole card. Stamps are from Dear Lizzy (American Crafts)
Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

For this card

for you,

for you, by Judyt28
for you,, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Hello there,

I just got around to posting this card now.
It was a little paper piecing project. Actually took me longer than planned, but I am quite happy with the results.
The background is obviously stamped in black using the Hero Arts Magical background stamp (CG211). Believe it or not this is the first time I have used this stamp.
The patterned papers on the wheel are from the Doodlebug collection Take Note.
I first cut out all the little triangles and adhered them to a scalloped die cut circle. I decided it needed a little more contrast so I layered another die cut circle over top with reverse scallops on the inside. Added little black cross pieces for the dividers.
Die cut a small scalloped circle for the sentiment and add little dots around the outside of the circle.
Added some black accents and there you have it.
Thanks for stopping by to have a look!

Sunshine & Laughter by Judyt28
Sunshine & Laughter, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.
Hello everyone,,

Just thought I would share another happy yellow card with you. This card is all about adding a little sunshine to your day.
I used a large paint chip card for the background, you know the ones that you pick up at your local paint store when trying to decide what colour to paint your room. It was perfect for this card as they are quite large and also a great choice for the gradient hues of yellow. I then stamped the Hero Arts Leafy Vines stamp and embossed it in white.
Added the sentiment in black to give a little contrast and a couple of black rhinestones on each side for some added bling.
Hope you find this brightens your day too.
Well I'm off to Yoga class now to start my day on a high! Namaste, Judy

Happy weekend everyone,

At last the sun is finally shining and just maybe summer weather will be with us for a while. We've had quite a bit of rain so far which is great for making everything bloom and blossom but not so nice for being outdoors.
With all that I just thought I would share a card that I created the other day.
Don't you find that yellow is such a fun and uplifting colour!
Anyways hope you like it and that you are able to get out and enjoy some sunshine in your little corner of the world!
Have a happy day,

And then there were three!

Hello, Since I originally posted the photo below on Flickr 2 days ago, our little chipmunk family has grown by 2 new members. My husband was poking around in the garden yesterday and out popped a little chippie- half the size of Mommy. He waited and watched a little longer and up through the little hole in the ground popped yet another baby. Now the fun begins on trying to prevent them from being snaffled up by any local predators. I'm guessing Mommy will do her best on that front - hopefully! Stay tuned and if I get a chance maybe I'll be able to snap a pic or two.

Just thought I would share a photo of our pet chipmunk. We have aptly named her Grandma as she has been living in our front garden for 6 years now and has had quite a few offspring during that time. Every Spring she tunnels her way through the snow to greet us for another year. All we have to do is give her a call and she jumps right into our hand for peanuts.
Isn't she cute!!!

Take care, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

This card is for the challenge at http://addictedtocas.blogspot.com.au/
I must say that after seeing the card that barbghig's had created I was inspired to create my own card with circles.
Instead of die cutting standard circles I decided to use the Retro Diamonds embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts for the white background of the card. The multi colour background was created with various Tombow markers spritzed with water. When dry I stamped the Penny Black Scented Strokes flower (2677K) and embossed with white embossing powder.
Added a Spellbinders die cut circle with a tiny sentiment from Flourishes tag lines set.
I decided to add some little white stitching around the navy piece of cs but apparently my white pen was on its' last legs. Well off to buy a replacement! Any excuse to visit my local craft store :)
Thanks for stopping by to have a look and
I appreciate any and all comments.

Happy Weekend everyone!
I am here in my craft room this morning although it is very hot and sunny out and had hoped to get into my garden but alas the roofers have shown up today to re-shingle our roof.
My poor cat is terrified with all the hammering and banging. But for me I can have fun playing in my favourite space.
I am entering this card in the challenge over at http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.ca/?m=0
It is made entirely out of washi tape which apparently I can't seem to own enough of lately.
My local stamp store just got in a shipment and I bought all 6 of the neon colours (Forever In Time).
Enjoy and thanks for stopping!

I was just playing with some stamps from Penny Black. I also have some new ones on the way - can't wait!
This one is from the Puzzle Parts set again. I stamped it twice - once directly on the card and then again on another piece which I cut out. I used the Kaleidacolor Riviera stamp pad (5 colour pad).
I popped the cut out piece for a little extra dimension then added some Stickles in various colours to the other strip.
I mixed the ink colours with a little water and flicked it onto the card one colour at a time. Maybe just a little bit too much flicking! Oh well! I kinda liked the end result anyways and that's why I'm sharing it here.
The sentiment is Paper Smooches.

DD has flown the coop yet again!

Took our daughter to the airport this morning for her flight to Hawaii.
She was flying from Montreal to Vancouver, Vancouver to Honolulu. Lucky girl!
We have taken her to the airport so many times in the past 6-7 years that if it wasn't for me creating a scrapbook for her of all her travels I would have lost track by now. This was actually a short trip for her compared to some. She has lived in China, Japan, Ghana, Florence and Germany and also visited so many other destinations. Seen more than most people would see in their entire lifetime. I think if I could have a re-do I would do exactly what she has done. Good on her!
I miss her already but all that being said I am chomping at the bit to get into my creative space and get cracking on some projects!!
Maybe it's a good thing to step away for a bit. I think it helps ignite the creativity spark again!
So stay tuned as there is more to come!

Well my daughter and I had the pedis done today. How wonderful and relaxing! She chose a neon orange colour which is perfect for her upcoming trip to Hawaii and I had a neon pink applied which will look very nice in my Yoga class - thank you very much !!!
I had plans to plant my gardens but the weather was not exactly cooperative. I didn't feel much like planting in the rain which is not my thing.  I'll have to wait until next weekend now. After all I don't  want to ruin the pedi.
Anyways got to go as the BBQ is ready!

Happy long weekend

It's a long weekend here in Canada and traditionally planting weekend. All the local nurseries and markets are in full swing with their summer offerings. I will be hauling bags of earth, flats of flowers and hanging baskets home. Funny how we seem to have an abundance of earth surrounding us but always seem to buy bags of it at this time of year. It's like it evaporates under all that winter snow. So regrettably I will not be creating in my indoor craft space but I will be creating in my outdoor craft space. I absolutely love this time of year and am totally in awe when this time rolls around each year. We hibernate for almost 6 months every winter and then like sheer magic we shed our winter garments and come alive again. Rejuvenated and reinvented again after our long slumber. Somewhat like bears waking from a long nap. You know it is Spring here as you can set your clocks by our little chipmunks - chippies as we have come to call them. A life span for a chipmunk is usually only a couple of years but we have had one chipmunk that we have nicknamed Grandma as this is her 6th summer with us. She digs a nice neat little tunnel through the snow every year and pokes her head up to take a breath of the crisp Spring air. We know it is her as she has a little scar above her left eye and she is the only one that will jump up in the palm of our hand and come when we call her. She seems to have had several litters over the years as there are quite a few new little ones running about every summer. I do have a bunch of pictures of her and some of her offspring which I will be posting soon, so stay tuned if you're interested in seeing our little furry friends. So if you are in the same garden mode that I am, have a fun weekend and Happy Planting and do take the time to sit back and truly smell the roses. Life is beautiful!

Well it might be my last post for a little while as our daughter has just returned home here to Montreal after spending 7 months living in Germany. Her boyfriend is currently stationed there with the US Airforce. They met while she was teaching english in Okinawa, Japan and he was stationed in Japan at the time. She came home and he transferred to Germany. All that being said we are thrilled to have her back home with us as her and I have lots of catching up to do. You know, stuff like shopping, mani-pedis and fun girly stuff etc. We will also have Mother's Day to celebrate with my son too. He was waiting for his big sis to arrive home! But alas she will be gone again soon! She is off to Hawaii for 3 weeks' to join her mate as he will be visiting his family there. Oh my jet setting daughter! She has done EXTENSIVE travelling. Anyways I'll be back soon with some new card projects hopefully! See you then!

Congratulations

For the All That Glitters challenge at ablognamedhero.blogspot.ca/search?updated-max=2013-05-03T... I laid down 4 double-sided strips of tape and then added various colours of Glitter Ritz glitter to each tape. I didn't realize at the time that I had actually chosen colours that match my sequins as I had not even chosen the sequins at this point. Well to my surprise 3 of the glitter colours matched the sequins perfectly. Who would have thunk it? Anyways it all turned out just fine. Oh and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.
Thanks for stopping by to check it out.

Super sized hug

Super sized hug by Judyt28
Super sized hug, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful Moms. Give yourself a big hug! You certainly deserve it!!

Well this card is perfect for the occasion too!

This card I created for the challenge over at http://casethissketch.blogspot.ca/
I used one of the folders from Lifestyle zig zag set on Kraft paper.
The soda is from the Think Fast set that I won from Paper Smooches.
I stamped the soda cup with ColorBox Berrylicious chalk ink.
The sentiment and die cut are from Lawn Fawn A Birdie Told Me sets (LF485 & LF431).

I added Glossy Accents to the glass and some Clear Rock Candy Distress sticklers to the top of the glass mixed with some tiny, tiny glass beads to give the illusion of ice. I think it turned out rather well ( the ice I mean). You can be the judge of the rest.
Anyways thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Friend, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

The hexagon was die cut from Hero Arts set.
I used watercolour paper and some daubers to apply Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemon and Peacock Feathers distress inks. Spritzed with Green/Yellow perfect pearls powder to give it some shine. I decided to spritz the whole background also. The leaves were die cut and different shades of green distress inks were applied. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches which I embossed in white.
Hope you can see the shine on the card
because it really is very pretty.
Thanks for stopping by!

thanks a bunch!

thanks a bunch!, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

Good Monday morning everyone,

Hope you also enjoyed a glorious fun-filled weekend like I did here. Finally.....
I made this card for the All That Glitters challenge at http://ablognamedhero.blogspot.ca/?m=0
I used Memory Box's Chloe stem flower which I die cut 3 times. I tried the copper flower using Scor tape and added copper Glitter Ritz. It was a little bit messy so for the other 2 flowers I decided to die cut them from gold and dark chocolate glitter card stock instead (much easier).
I cut off the stems on each flower and made them into a little wreath shape. I used the Spellbinders Labels 18 die to cut out the centre of the card. Embossed that layer with the Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder. Popped that piece up with foam tape, added the centre piece which was the leftover piece from cutting the frame. Added Antique linen distress ink to the border of the insert.
Sentiment is from Penny Black (3383D).
Added bling to the centre of my wreath arrangement and some sequins to the card for more bling.
Hope the photo does this card justice but it really does pop with glitter.
TFL!

I used the Hero Arts Looped Flower background stamp which I white embossed.
Added Distress inks on my craft sheet ( Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed Nd Peeled Paint which I spritzed with water and then dragged my cardstock over the inks until I had the desired effect.
Added the expression from the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler set.

April showers!

April showers! by Judyt28
April showers!, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.

For the Spring flowers / April showers challenge at www.simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.ca/

Hopefully Spring showers will bring May Flowers. It's been a long winter! Ugh!!!!
I made this card using the April Showers clear stamp set from Penny Black. Stamped the boots with Hero Arts pool ink, then coloured the flowers with a yellow marker and added some yellow Stickles to the centres. The umbrella was embossed in white on flowered card stock (Sunny Side pack from Pebbles) and turquoise Stickles added here. The raindrops were clear embossed and then I added some glossy accents to highlight each drop. Also added glossy accents to the top and souls of each boot. The sentiment is a combination of two sets. Card background papers are from the Echo Park 6x6 pack Sweet Day.
