Stencilled OCC - Day 4 by Judyt28

Hi everyone,
I just can't get enough of these gorgeous new stencils so I'm still creating cards from the Online Card Classes - Stencilled that I took last weekend.
I think this card is a nice pick me up for the winter with its' bright colours which remind me of Spring flowers.
Here I used the mini Gathered Flowers stencil from The Crafter's Workshop.
I dry embossed the panel and then blended in Distress inks in Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn.
I added a strip which I coloured using the Hero Arts Neon Pink and embossed with clear embossing powder to add some shine.
Sentiment is Hero Arts and the row of gems are Metallic Decor also from HA.

Stencilled OCC - Day 4

Stencilled OCC - Day 3 by Judyt28
Stencilled OCC - Day 3, a photo by Judyt28 on Flickr.
Hi everyone,
I created this card for Day 3 of the Online Card Classes.
In the class Julie Ebersole showed us how to create a dry embossed card using a stencil.
I used the new Memory Box stencil called Rhapsody. It is absolutely gorgeous!
I used Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Mustard Seed and blended over the panel with an ink blending tool. It actually has the effect of 3 colours blended together when you overlap the inks.
The butterfly is from Hero Arts called Antique Engravings (CL383) and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches set called Sentiment Sampler.
I added a strip of black cardstock down the left side and a strip of green washi tape.
The black pearl gems are also from Hero Arts.
This is such a fun technique and can be used with any type of stencil and the results are fantastic.
I hope you enjoy this card and thanks for looking.!

Birthday

Hi everyone,
I am entering this card for this week's challenge at http://casology.blogspot.ca where
the theme this week is dots.
I went with an old stamp that I have from Amuse Art Stamps called Lots of Dots (3-5016F) aptly named for this card.
Stamped the dots on watercolour paper with various distress inks and spritzed with a perfect pearls and water mix. A little hard to see the shimmer in the photo.
Layered the three squares over some patterned paper using a MFT zig zag border die for the bottom edge.
Layered on some washi tape and a small olive branch from Memory Box (98803).
Sentiment is Hero Arts.

Thanks for looking,

Hello everyone,
I thought I would share this card that I created for the current challenge over at CAS(E) this sketch.
I die cut the feathers from MFT (Feathers & Arrows set) using woodgrain cardstock and added some Worn Lipstick distress ink to the edges.
I applied chevron washi tape to some cardstock and die cut the arrow.
Added some gold paint splatters and some red and white twine.
The little sentiment is from Flourishes Tiny Flowers and Tags set (FL-SS185).
Any and all comments are much appreciated.
Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Yet another year!

Happy New Year everyone,

One of my favorite things to do in the New Year is get into high gear cleaning/organizing mode. I left my daughter to take care of the rest of the house while I snuck into my craft room.
I mentioned previously that I had decided to unmount a lot of my wood block stamps in order to gain a little more space in my craft room. Well I seriously made a dent in my stamp stash today and unmounted about 40 stamps on top of the 50 or so that I had done earlier in 2013.
It's not a difficult task but I find it very time consuming but also very relaxing.
I should be creating but I figure that if I still don't have to go back to work until next Monday, why not.
Wow, I am gaining so much more space.
Also had my dear hubby added some more shelves so that's a bonus. My crafting space seems to be a work in progress but an important space!
Well that's all I have for today.
See you soon,

Judy
