Thinking of you

Hi there everyone,

I have to say that I had a lot of fun creating this card for the current challenge at http://a2zscrapbookingblog.com/2014/08/01/a-new-challenge/ where this month's theme is Encouragement.
It took  quite a lot of time to mask off all the little sections where I didn't want to apply any ink.
I used a new stencil from the Crafter's Workshop that I had purchased and this was the first time that I put it to use.
I laid down only one side of the stencil, masked off all the little sections and started to apply my inks. First the yellow, then the red and finally the green.
I realized that I had missed a little piece of green leaf at the top of the card and also a little piece of the yellow leaf at the bottom of the card so I carefully repositioned the stencil and inked those 2 little bits.

Anyway, I am quite happy how this turned out. Popped the whole panel up with foam dots and added a tiny strip of gold glitter paper down the left side for a little extra sparkle. Thought it also needed a few sequins to match.
So there you have it.

Judy

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone,

Today I am posting a card that I made following Laura Bassen's technique from Day 7 of the Online Card Classes Stretch Your Stamps 2.
I didn't have the stamp set that she used for her cards so I had to chose something else from my stash. I must admit that this took me several and I mean several attempts to achieve the look that I was going for. I was finally content with the finished product and really like the little heart in the centre of the stamp.
Anyways here's my interpretation.

I used a stamp set from Bo Bunny and a sentiment from Hero Arts.
The ink colours are from an old Paintbox set that I have from Colorbox.

Judy

Hello

Hi everyone,

As mentioned yesterday I have been taking the current Online Card Classes called Stretch Your Stamps 2.
I have to tell you I am having so much fun with this class. I really think they have sparked my creativity with so much amazing talent each day.
The card below is the outcome of Shari Carroll's class on Day 1.

I used a large background stamp from Hero Arts stamped with various distress inks with some water.
I'm super happy how this turned out and think the colours are great together.
Added a little orange vellum butterfly from Memory Box and a few gems.
The hello die from Simon Says Stamp has to be one of my favorites. I like it layered on a darker background as it creates a really nice shadow effect.
Well that's it for now.

Judy

You make me smile

Hello everyone,

I am currently taking part in the Online Card Classes Stretch Your Stamps 2. I only decided to sign up for the class 2 days after it started so I have been playing catch up ever since.
Anyways I have a card that I had created for the current challenge at http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.ca/2014/08/week-183-colour-challenge.html
and almost forgot about uploading it so here it is.

These are the colours for the chosen theme. I first stamped it with a triangle stamp, embossed it in white, applied the colours according to the challenge and then ran it through my die cutting machine using a hexagon die.
I carefully placed the pieces onto the front of the card and added the sentiment and die cut you.
I was quite happy how this turned out.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Welcome home

Hi everyone,

It's been a lazy Saturday for me as my 2 favourite men have gone off hiking in Vermont for the day.
I have the whole day to myself. Yippee!!!

I thought I would show you the card that I have made for the current rainbow challenge at http://casology.blogspot.ca

I used a die from Memory Box to die cut the houses from white cardstock. I then used the die again to cut out each house from a different colour of cardstock. I ran a piece of tape across the back and carefully placed each house in its proper position. I then added some yellow glitter to the front to make it look like the lights were on in the houses.
Added a strip of black cardstock down the left side of the card for a little added interest and then added the sentiment and popped the whole thing up with foam mounts.
Thanks for stopping,

Judy
