birthday card

Hi there,

Today we had Jayne's scramble on the Hero Arts Flickr group on which I ended up being one of the lucky winners.
I am also entering it in the current Tic Tac Toe challenge at Hero Arts.

I chose watercolor, tag and favorite colour for my card.

I first stamped the background with Versamark and then added some SSS white embossing powder.
Then I laid down a base of water over the entire background and started to randomly add my watercolour and some ink splatters. I then heat set the whole thing and ran it through my die cutting machine to add a stitched border around the edges.
I cut the tag from the centre of the panel, backed it with some black cs and placed it on the front.
Die cut the sentiment and added it to the tag.
Well there you have it.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Watercolour Birthday

Happy Monday,

Today I have a card that I created for the current Watercolor Blog Hop at http://prettypinkposh.com/2015/06/watercolor-blog-hop.html

Here's my card:

I absolutley love anything watercoloured so for this card I decided to resurrect my Tombow markers, which by the way are great for watercolouring.
I scribbled each marker colour on to an acrylic stamping block and spritzed with a little water and used Laura Bassen's favourite technique of 'smooshing'. It makes for a wonderful result!

I heat set the colours before stamping my sentiment with Memento black ink.
The card looked too plain so I decided to dry emboss a frame around the whole background.
Did cut a little red heart and added some glossy accent to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy
