OCC Holiday Style Day 11

Hi there,

Well I've had fun over the past 2 weeks with the Online Card Classes Holiday Style but haven't quite found enough time to participate as much as I would have liked to but I do have a card to share for Day 11.
It was a little tricky to photograph though with all the shine.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. I stamped the tree from Hero Arts of a pice of white vellum and added some glue from a Palletts stamp and stick glue pad. Heat set that a little bit and added some Metal leaf in a variegated green colour. I cut around the tree and added it to the background.
The sentiment was die cut from some turquoise metallic card stock using a SSS die and adhered to the base of the tree. Added some red gemstones and a metallic star and layered the whole panel onto a drank green card base.

Well that's my card.

Thanks for stopping by,

Pine boughs

Happy weekend everyone,

Here's another card for the OCC Holiday Style from the example in class by Kathy Racoosin. I just love this type of class because to me holiday cards are so much fun to create!

I used an old pine bough stamp that I had from years ago from a company called The Artful Stamper.
The background was stamped several times using Cosmic Copper and I also used the same ink to ink up the die cut sentiment, stamped sentiment and the large stitched background panel.
I added a few red berries here and there for a little added interest.

Hard to see all the lovely shimmer but trust me it's there in real life:)

That's my card for class.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Supplies:
The Artful Stamper pine bough stamp
SSS Large Stitched rectangles dies
SSS Sending & Wishing stamp set and die
Archival Brilliance Cosmic Copper ink
Color Box Cranberry Ink

Christmas wishes

Hi everyone,

This week I'm taking the Online Card Classes Holiday Style. I seem to be a little bit behind but managed to do a little catch up today as I had the day off work.
Here's the card I created following Debby Hughes' sample from Day 1 of the class.

I stamped the backgound with various size snowflakes and embossed in silver and white embossing powders. I then applied colours from Koi - Payne's Gray and Butterfly Wing blue from Peerless blending the background.
Added the splatters with Koi - cobalt blue and white using a Hero Arts white dauber ink which I watered down a bit.
I didn't have a long sentiment so I used 2 different words from Lawn Fawn's Baaah Humbug set and cut them apart and angled them on a curve using my Misti tool.
The snowflake border is a Memory Box die and silver embossed.
Added some silver thread and that's it for this card.

Thanks for stopping by,

Supplies:
Memory Box Frostyville Border die

Winter fox

Hi everyone,

Well today I have a card to share for a few challenges - the Anything Goes Wednesday challenge at Simon Says Stamps where they are showcasing Lawn Fawn products  http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ , the Texture challenge at http://virginiasviewchallenge.blogspot.ca/2015/11/virginias-view-challenge-20.html and also the Warm and Cozy challenge at http://die-cut-divas.blogspot.ca/2015/11/warm-and-cozy.html. There's just something about hot chocolate that makes you feel comfy and cozy😀

I started by dry embossing the large LF snowflakes using a different one for each of the 2 corners of the card. Then I applied SSS ink over the embossing and ran the panel through my die cutting machine adding a stitched border to the panel.

The fox was stamped with black ink, coloured with Copics and then die cut. I added some black dots to the mug and some Perfect Puff to the top of the mug to resemble marshmallows. Added Black Enamel Accents to his nose.
Stamped the sentiment, added some tiny vellum snowflakes and clear Wink of Stella to the fox's scarf and to each of the little snowflakes.
