Love tweetings!

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share with you that I created and am entering in the Wednesday Simon Says Stamp challenge to 'create with critters' here and also the SSS Flickr challenge where 'Anything Goes'.

I started by die cutting the frame using a large rectangle stitched die and some patterned paper. I then positioned the stencil on the white cardstock base and decided where I wanted the tiny red hearts to be placed inside the frame. Once the hearts were stamped I moved onto stamping and die cutting the 2 little birdies and the branch. I used a piece of cardstock that I had watercoloured in various pinks and reds to create the Love die cut.
The birds were coloured with Copics and foam mounted onto the card base. Added some glossy accents to the beaks and hat of the bird and some clear Wink of Stella to the Love die which is hard to see but really adds some sparkle!

Well that's it and thanks for stopping by to have a look!

Prayers and hugs

Hi everyone,

Today's card is for 2 challenges, A Blog Named Hero

and the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #36 where the theme is also to create a card with One Layer.

Here's my card:

I always seem to struggle with one layer cards for some reason but am quite happy how this one turned out. It makes for a quick and easy card.

For my card I used one of my all time favourite Hero Arts stamps which is the Leafy Vines stamp. I find this is just one of those really versatile stamps that absolutely belongs in my stash.

I started by stamping the Leafy Vines using Memories Sand ink. I mounted the sentiment and the hearts on my Misti stamping tool first inking up the sentiments while masking the hearts, stamping this a couple of times to make sure the ink was nice and dark and there were no blotches in the large word.
Next I removed the sentiments and stamped the hearts in the same Memories sand ink.

Well that's it, pretty simple!

baby, it's cold outside

Hi there,

Well it's been a while since my last post. I think I lost my groove for a time but am slowly trying to get it back. I guess everyone needs to step back once in a while to regain their creativity.

With that being said, I have a card that I created for the current challenge at:

Here's my card:

I started by creating the background by diecutting the panel using a stitched rectangle die. I then applied a SSS stencil over the panel and used some embossing paste. I die cut the oval background using Lawn Fawn paper and added the sentiment to that. I die cut the glitter piece of cardstock using a border die. The alpaca (I love this guy) was stamped in black ink on a piece of light gray cardstock. I didn't have the matching die so I fussy cut the little guy out. Added some red Copic to his scarf and some little white dots with a gel pen and a dot of black enamel accent to his eye. Layered the whole thing onto a red card base and that's it for me.

Thanks for stopping by,
