Sparkly wishes

Hi everyone,

I have a card to share today using an embossing folder for the background to my card and also for the focal point of my card.

I started by diecutting a stitched square using pink cardstock. I then embossed the white background to go behind the square. I die cut the heart and embossed that using the same embossing folder. Coloured the heart with Distress ink and then added some water splatters.

Die cut the wishing die with Deco Foil and then applied a Copic marker (Deep Magenta) to give it the pink colour. It's quite sparkly. Stamped the sentiment on black card stock and heat set using white embossing powder.

Popped both the heart and sentiment up with some foam tape and added the die cut sentiment.

Well that's it for this card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

SSS Small Heart Doily die
SSS Stitched Squares die set

Sending you love and hugs

Hi everyone,

I had started to write this post a couple of hours ago and then we lost our power. We are in the midst of a freezing rain storm again. Not nearly like anything we had back in 1998 but kirnd of scary to say the least. Everything is heavily coated and the branches are bending over a lot more than they should be. Supposed to warm up to +3C and then rain and snow again. What a horrible winter.

Anyways here's the card that I am entering for the SSS Wednesday challenge which is 'Add a sentiment'.

I started by embossing the background of my card using a folder called Falling Hearts from Docrafts.
The folder only has the hearts at the bottom.

I then created the frame using SSS Stitched Rectangle die set using some Doodlebug patterned paper.

Used a SSS die with red cardstock for the large sentiment and white embossed the rest of the sentiment on a piece of black cardstock.

Popped up the frame with foam tape, added the die cut, sentiment and a piece of washi tape behind the sentiment.

Well that's is for my card. Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

SSS Sending and Wishing stamp and die set
SSS Stitched Rectangle die set
DoCrafts Falling Hearts embossing folder
Doodlebug Lovebugs 6x6 paper pad
SSS White embossing powder
Washi tape

Smile cat

Hi everyone,

Well here we are again in Montreal with another snow storm. I think they are calling for upwards of 30 cms. by the time it is all over.
Yesterday it was +10C and pouring rain and tomorrow's temps will be in the -20C's. Got to love our winters😒

Today's card is for the current SSSflickrchallenge where the theme is 'Water coloring'.

I started by stamping my cute cat from SSS onto some watercolour paper and proceeding to colour it using my Zigs.
I then added some blue to the background of my cat so he would stand out a bit more. Die cut that piece using a SSS stitched rectangle die.

Took my card base, applied a SSS stencil and used a dauber for the dots. Embossed the card base with a wonky stitched rectangle die. Popped my image up with foam tape onto a piece of dotted paper.

Die cut the sentiment from Mama Elephant and added some Nuvo crystal drops and that's if for my card.

Thanks for stopping by.

SSS Cuddly Critters stamp set
SSS Falling Snow stencil
SSS Stitched Rectangle die set
MFT Wonky Stitched rectangle die set

Happy New Year

Hi everyone,

Well I'm a little late with the New Year's card but here it is. I should be at the gym doing Zumba this morning but the consistent cold here has finally caught up with me. A little sinus thing going on today so feeling a little under the weather. Good time to post.

I recently purchased the Lawn Fawn Birch Trees die so thought I would use that on this card.
The base of the card was stamped with a large background stamp from Hero Arts and some blue ink. I used a stitched rectangle die and embossed the card base with that.

I moved onto creating my scene first by die cutting a large oval. I blended in 3 colours of inks to the oval. Die cut the trees with white cardstock and added a little shading and some lines with dark brown ink. Added them to the background with foam tape.

Die cut a piece of patterned paper again using the oval die and popped that up with some foam tape.

Coloured the penguins and little birdie with Copics and added glossy accents to the bird and the beaks and feet of the penguins.

The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and stamped in black.

Well that's it for my card and stay warm!

Fun Valentine's shaker card

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a great holiday and much health and happiness for 2018.

With the holidays behind me now I can get back in my craft room and create a card. This one
is a fun shaker card for Valentine's day. As far as shakers go, this one was quite quick and easy to create.

I used some red Gina K Fancy Foil to create my frame. I then moved onto creating the background using a SSS stencil with 2 different colours of ink.

Stamped the sentiment in black and began to add my shaker components which consisted of some large plastic hearts (not sure where I got these), some sequin mix and little diamond drops.

Assembled the card and that's it for this one.

Thanks for stopping by,
