Early Happy Holidays

Hello everyone,

I have a card to share that I am entering in the Monday Stencil & Stamps challenge at http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=1920#

I first started by laying down some Distress ink on my craft sheet and then added some translucent embossing paste to achieve the desired colour and then applied it over my stencil.
When that piece was drying I went ahead and coloured my cute little penguin, added some Wink of Stella shimmer and left that to dry before die cutting.
I cut the left side of the panel with the Curved Edge die from SSS and added a strip of coloured cs behind the curve and mounted the whole thing with foam dots.
Added my penguin and the sentiment and finished the card off with some sequins.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Happy Everything

Hello everyone,

I just love Fall and all its beautiful warm and rich colours. So for that I have a created a card to celebrate the arrival of Fall and entered it into 3 challenges: http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-8/
http://thecuttingedgechallenge.blogspot.ca/2014/09/the-cutting-edge-challenge-10.html and
The TicTacToe challenge #2 at Simon Says Stamp (leaves, autumn and dots)

Here it is:

I first applied several distress inks to my craft sheet and added some water to blend the colours. Added a few water droplets to the piece before I die cut the various leaves.
I then used the curved edge die to cut a piece of white cardstock in two and stamped the polka dots to the top portion of the panel and left the bottom piece plain white. I know it might be a bit hard to see but I added a strip of gold metallic cardstock in between the two panels behind the leaves.
I then proceeded to lay down all the various leaves until I had the combination that I was happy with.
Some of the leaves are popped up with foam tape and others just tucked in between.
Used brown ink to stamp the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy,

Judy

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card that I created for the current challenge at http://festivefriday.blogspot.ca/2014/09/festive-friday-challenge-40-september.html

I used a Memory Box ornament die cut from a piece of Neenah Solar white card stock. I then mounted this piece onto a background of snowflake patterned paper from Doodlebug.
I thought it was nice that the tiny snowflakes from the pp peek through the little round holes of the die.
The sentiment is from Penny Black and the top of the ornament piece (which is part of the ornament die) were both cut from a piece of embossed shiny silver cardstock.
The card is actually nice and white in real life but I had a little trouble taking a good photo :)
Anyways there you have it.

I then added some Cloud twine from Lawn Fawn to suspend the ornament. I was tempted to add some bling but decided to leave it alone.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Joy

Happy Sunday everyone and I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far.

I have a card today to share that I created for the current challenge at http://casology.blogspot.ca
where the cue card is for anything in threes.

It's not hard to get into Holiday card making with so many great new products out there so I went with some of my new Lawn Fawn purchases.
Here's my card which I created for the current challenge where the theme is three at http://casology.blogspot.ca

I wasn't exactly too sure what I was going to do here so I started with cutting the snow hills first and then added some mint ink to the two snow hill panels directly from the ink pad by turning the pad over and dabbing ink here and there.
I used my favorite technique of watercolour and distress inks and laid out a few colours on my craft sheet and dragged my cs over the colours. I then sprayed some perfect pearls over the coloured cs for some extra shimmer. A little hard to see in the photo though. I die cut 3 different sized snowflakes from the die set.
Now for the assembly I added a strip of turquoise cs behind the snow hills and then added some Glitter Ritz glitter in between for some sparkle.
I then die cut a stitched panel for the whole background and popped up the snow hills onto the panel with some foam adhesive.
The joy sentiment was die cut 3 times and glued together for some added depth. Enamel dots were then added to each snowflake centre.

Well that's it for me and enjoy,

Thanks for stopping by.

Judy

Supplies used:
Lawn Fawn dies - Hillside Borders, Stitched Snowflakes, Scripty Joy
MFT die - Blueprints 13
Glitter Ritz - Warm Highlights

Two patterned paper cards

Hello there,

I have 2 cards to share today for the current challenge to use patterned paper over at
http://virginiasviewchallenge.blogspot.ca

The first one is for my daughter Jennifer. I think she'll like this one. For you Jenn.
I used various patterned papers with dies and stamps to create my little scene. I must admit I've had this little deer stamp set from Lawn Fawn for quite some time and never put it to good use.

I just love Halloween so I created the second card using more patterned papers.
The letters are foam which I first stamped  with orange ink, then stamped over them again with the envelope stamp and then added glossy accents on top. The exclamation mark was stamped in black ink and glossy accents over top again.
Added some free-hand stitching around the card.

Anyways that's it for me today.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you

Hi everyone,

Hope you had a great week and have a beautiful weekend.

I thought I would share a card that I made a couple of weeks back but never got around to posting.
It seems that I am in love with stencils and have more than I care to count but they are so versatile and quite inexpensive.
For this card I used a Wendy Vecchi stencil and some distress inks and as really no explanation on technique is needed here I won't bore you with the details :)

Anyways here it is and thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Hello you

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card to share with you that I created for the current challenge at http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ where the theme is Anything Goes and featuring Memory Box Products.

I decided to pull out a stencil of flowers with some white embossing paste which I coloured with distress ink. I set this to dry and when it was finally dry I thought I would added a little stitching around the entire background using a MFT Die-namics die and  rounded opposite corners.
Here's my card:

I added a double layered die cut greeting to which I used a die cut in gray cs to add a little shadow effect behind my turquoise die. Stamped the you with A shadow ink.
I thought that it ended a little extra something so I added a bit of wink of Stella to the flowers and some sequins.

Thanks for stopping,

Judy
