Beautiful inspiration

 Hi everyone,

Today’s card was made using die cuts, a stencil and stamps all done on a background of Distress spray stain.

I started by placing a woodgrain stencil on a piece of watercolour card stock and spraying it with Blueprint Sketch Distress spray stain and water and letting it blend together.

The flowers were stamped directly on the panel with Jet Black ink.

All the other elements were die cut and the edges inked. The fence was die cut from white card stock and accented with Weathered Wood Distress ink.

White ink splatters were added to the background.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

A Million Thank Yous

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share using a bunch of Tim Holtz / Sizzix products and an Alcohol Lift-ink technique.

First I blended a bunch of Alcohol inks onto a piece of card stock.  I applied my stamp to my Misti tool and used the Alcohol Lift-ink pad and stamped it a bunch of times onto a piece of white card stock until I was happily with it.

As the stamp doesn’t fit the entire background I taped the edges where the stamp finished and applied a stencil to the edge. I used Wilted Violet oxide ink which I blended with Distress Grit paste to cover the stencil doing one edge at a time. Before that was dry I sprinkled Clear Rock Candy glitter over top.

I die cut the sentiment 3 times with black card stock and glued them together. The stamped sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and heat embossed with white embossing powder and foam mounted to my card.

I die cut a leaf from purple shiny card stock and glued directly onto my card.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Love this life

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a slimline card to share where I created a stencil background with Distress oxide sprays for my gorgeous butterflies.

I applied my stencil to a white piece of card stock and sprayed 3 different colours of Distress oxide inks over the stencil. When done I carefully removed the stencil to undercover my pretty background.

The butterflies were also created by spraying with the 3 colours of oxide sprays. I also added some blending over each butterfly using Distress oxide ink pads.

I added a piece of turquoise card stock over my cream card base, added the stencil background over top and then foam mounted each of the butterflies.

I used and Idea-ology sentiment which I trimmed with an eyelet on each side which were painted with Statue Foundry wax.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Alcohol ink picture

 Hi everyone,

Today is a gorgeous sunny day and I have my flowers planted. I thought it would be a perfect day to share this framed alcohol ink art picture that I created.

I am entering into the current Monday challenge on the Simon Says Stamps blog where the theme is Alcohol

Details can be found Here

https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=27741

And also entering in their current Wednesday challenge where the theme is anything but a card. Details can be found here

 https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-not-a-card-2/

I started by creating my inked background using several different colours of alcohol inks.

The flowers were die cut from a piece of black card stock and adhered directly to my background.

I adhered the alcohol ink panel to the back of a 5” x 7” cardboard photo frame which was trimmed with gold and black on the inside opening.

I added an Idea-ology sentiment and butterfly. I didn’t alter the metal pieces at all as I didn’t want to take anything away from my background.

Well that’s it for my project today. Thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:
Tim Holtz Flower Field die
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Adornments - Butterflies
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Word Plaques
Various alcohol ink colours
5” x 7” Dollar store cardboard frame
Mauve ribbon

Shine brightly

 Hi everyone,

Today’s card uses an embossing folder for the background and a Tim Holtz die set for the image.

I started by embossing my background with white card stock and then dragging a light grey colour ink cube over the top so it would colour the high points of the embossing folder.

I die cut all the images need for my candle with different colours of card stock and pieced my candlestick together. Once the whole candle and stick were assembled I used my finger and silver metallic and rubbed over the candlestick.

In the photo below you can see where I added some glossy accents for wax drips and the candle wick.

The sentiment is a chip board quote piece to which I added a black marker to the edges.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:

Tim Holtz Candlestick, Colorize die set
Tim Holtz Engraved 3-D texture fades embossing folder
Tim Holtz / Idea-ology Chipboard Quote chip
Craf-T Kit 1 Metallic rub-ons - silver

Hello lovely

 Hi everyone,

Finally the nicer weather has arrived and the Spring flowers are blooming. Here’s a card
I created using a new stamp to me from Pigment Craft Co. called Blooming Floral which comes with a matching stencil.

I started by stamping the large flower image and embossing with white powder. I then went on to colour it using the coordinating stencil and ink blending with Distress oxide inks.

Once I was finished with all the colouring I fussy cut the image which was a bit tricky in spots.

I moved onto creating my background for the flowers with a stencil and Scattered Straw Distress ink.

I used a scalloped die to cut it out. The die cut piece was layered onto a blue piece of card stock and added to the white card.

The flower image was added with foam tape and a couple of confetti sequins were also added.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:
Pigment Craft Co. Blooming Floral stamp set and stencil
Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe stencil
MFT die-namics Stitched Rectangle Scalloped frame die set
Distress Oxide inks - Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers
Distress inks - Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw

Embrace every day

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share with a background created by embossing a stencil.

I started with a white piece of card stock and embossed it with my stencil. Leaving the stencil in place I added my inks over top.

I set that aside and went on to die cutting the other pieces for my card.

I die cut a scalloped frame in green and distressed it my sanding block. The edges of the card were distressed also.

I used Idea-ology labels for my sentiment and adhered them onto green pieces of card stock.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.
