Happy DieCember 2025

Happy DieCember everyone ❄️🎉🥳

It’s that fun and exciting time of the year again for an amazing month long celebration from @simonsaysstamp.There are so many cute fun dies.

I used the cute Stitching Penguin die set to create two adorable little tags to hang on the tree or to adorn a gift package.

I used black card stock to die cut the base of each penguin and white felt to die cut the front of each one.
I added red and green stitching.
Added a top hat die cut from felt and sparkle paper for the bow tie, hair tie and glasses.

On the back pieces I stamped the images and added Stickles glue accents to each. I used green and white and red and white twine to stitch them up.

To finish them off I added tiny bells to each one in green and white and red and white.

Well that’s it for these cuties.

Thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I have posted here but I thought I would share a little love today which is much needed these days with the world as it is.

Anyways wherever you are and whomever you are sharing today with, please enjoy yourselves and share some love ❤️ ❤️❤️

Now on to my card.

I created my background with Distress ink and a little water on a piece of watercolour card stock using a smooshing technique and then added a little Distress spritz spray.

I used an embossing folder to create the tiny heart background.

I added a strip of very light pink vellum also embossed with the same embossing folder under the stacked hearts.

I used a heart die set and cut 5 different sized hearts with shiny red card stock. I also added a floral Idea-ology strip just under the hearts.

I added a couple of Idea-ology hearts which I had coloured with Alcohol inks and then added a stamped sentiment.

Well that’s it for my card today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

My 12 File folders of Xmas 2022

 Hi everyone,

I call these my 12 File Folders of Xmas 2022.  I started them before Xmas and was only able to complete the outsides. I didn’t file anything in the folders themselves. Maybe I could save that for next Christmas. We’ll see.

I used the Tim Holtz /Sizzix Soecimen die set to cut all the folders from different coloured card stock.

For the numbered tabs I sandwiched coloured or glittered card stock to show through the number openings.

I added the Idea-ology card pieces to the front of each folder and then decorated them with either embellishment die pieces and/or tape.

The word file pieces were die cut from cream coloured card stock and I added either green or red inked pieces to the backs before gluing them in place.

The outside of the numbered tabs were inked with either green or red Distress inks.

This is what the folders look like standing up.

Well that’s it for my project for today and thanks so much for stopping by.

I used the Tim Holtz/ Sizzix Harvey die to complete them in a rainbow of colours. There are a lot of pieces to these but they were a joy to make.

They are just so fun to make and so darn cute. I can see more in the future.
I do have a pink one in progress. I can also see some as tree ornaments or gifts tags.

Snow people winter wishes

Hi everyone,

I have a fun card to share using the Twig & Stump die set from Sizzix/Tim Holtz.

I inked my whole panel with Salvaged Patina oxide ink.

I started by die cutting all my pieces and setting them aside.

The sentiment piece was die cut using a woodgrain embossing folder and inked with Distress Walnut Stain and Gathered Twigs inks,

I inlaid silver sparkle letters to the wood sentiment piece.

I added Distress Mica Stain sprays in Merry Mint, Cocktail Party and Brushed Pewter over my inked background and also used a bit of Picket Fence spray.

I added mica flakes to the bottom of the card.

I die cut the baubles for the tree with different colours of card stock and also added white ones as snowflakes or snowballs.
I added an Idea-ology star to the top of my tree tinted with Laguna alcohol ink.

Underneath the tree I added a base using a die from the Sizzix Papercut Chicks die set.
I also added a bit of grit paste to it.

The edges of my panel was inked with Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner. I also ink blended the edges of my turquoise card base with Walnut Stain ink and used a Distress tool on the edges.

Well that’s it for my fun snowman card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Trick or treat

Hi everyone,

I just received some of the new Tim Holtz Halloween products and couldn’t wait to use the new Mica Spray stains.

I started by creating my background on a piece of orange card stock to which I added the stencil background with Translucent crackle paste.
When that was dry I sprayed it with some Black Soot spray and blended in with a little water. That way some of the ink was blended into the pumpkin veins if that’s what you call them

Next I die cut the Halloween figures with white card stock and added my and sprayed on some Mica spray colours.
When dry I stamped the piece with the Bubbles stamp and some black ink.

I sprayed another piece of card stock with the sprays and die cut the sentiment. I die cut the sentiment again this time with black card stock, cut it to size and then inlaid the letters back into the empty spots.

I adhered both the sentiment and the Halloween figures directly to my card base. The card panel was also distressed on the edges.

I added some black ink to my card and embossed with clear embossing powder.

I die cut a couple of bats and added them to my card.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:
Tim Holtz Pumpkins Layering stencil

Type = sassy

 Hi everyone,

Well Gladys arrived yesterday and I couldn’t wait to play and create.

I started by creating my background piece with Distress reinkers and water using a smooshing technique. I then die cut the piece with a scalloped rectangle die.

For an added touch I stitched the edges with black thread first with a straight stitch and then with a zig zag stitch.
I purposely didn’t stitch a straight line as I didn’t want it to look perfect.

I assembled Gladys using various colours of pink card stock and added glossy accents to the beak and eyes.

I used a distressing tool to distress the edges of the dark green card stock piece.

The letters were done with an embossing folder and black card stock and inked with silver metallic rub on.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:

Tim Holtz / Sizzix Gladys Colorize
Tim Holtz / Sizzix 3D Texture Fades Typewriter
Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die
Distress reinkers - Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters
Metallic rub on

Beautiful inspiration

 Hi everyone,

Today’s card was made using die cuts, a stencil and stamps all done on a background of Distress spray stain.

I started by placing a woodgrain stencil on a piece of watercolour card stock and spraying it with Blueprint Sketch Distress spray stain and water and letting it blend together.

The flowers were stamped directly on the panel with Jet Black ink.

All the other elements were die cut and the edges inked. The fence was die cut from white card stock and accented with Weathered Wood Distress ink.

White ink splatters were added to the background.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Alcohol ink picture

 Hi everyone,

Today is a gorgeous sunny day and I have my flowers planted. I thought it would be a perfect day to share this framed alcohol ink art picture that I created.

I am entering into the current Monday challenge on the Simon Says Stamps blog where the theme is Alcohol

Details can be found Here

https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=27741

And also entering in their current Wednesday challenge where the theme is anything but a card. Details can be found here

 https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-not-a-card-2/

I started by creating my inked background using several different colours of alcohol inks.

The flowers were die cut from a piece of black card stock and adhered directly to my background.

I adhered the alcohol ink panel to the back of a 5” x 7” cardboard photo frame which was trimmed with gold and black on the inside opening.

I added an Idea-ology sentiment and butterfly. I didn’t alter the metal pieces at all as I didn’t want to take anything away from my background.

Well that’s it for my project today. Thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:
Tim Holtz Flower Field die
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Adornments - Butterflies
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Word Plaques
Various alcohol ink colours

Limited edition framed flowers

 Hi everyone,

On today’s card I decided to use a small Idea-ology Baseboards/Frame from Tim Holtz and distress it with paint and crackle paste. I used the small frame circled in the second photo below.

I painted the frame white and added some crackle paint over top. When dry I scuffed it up a bit with my sander. The nice thing about this paste is it adds such a fine bit of crackle.

I added a stencil to a piece of black card stock and blended Shaded Lilac Distress oxide ink over top.

The background piece behind the flowers was blended with 3 different shades of Distress oxides and black paint splatters were added.

I used the flower die with a piece of black card stock to cut it out. I adhered it behind the frame which was foam mounted to my card.

The sentiment is a chipboard piece which I also distressed with a bit of crackle paste.
The photos below show the detail of the crackle.

Well that’s it for this card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Tim Holtz Idea-ology Baseboards / Frames
