Valentine cards

Hi everyone,

I have a few more Valentine cards to share just in time for this weeks' Simon Says Stamp 'Have a Heart' Wednesday challenge which can be found on their blog here and also for Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #115 where the theme is 'All My Love'.

For my first card I used a floral stamp set from Studio Katia and some gold embossing powder. I applied distress ink and blended it in.

My second card uses MFT die-namics with Neenah desert storm cardstock for the frame. I blended two different distress inks for the base of the card and die cut Lawn Fawn hearts in red, ink and gold sparkle cardstock. I die cut the xoxo with red cardstock and applied to the centre.

For my third card I used a piece of patterned paper for the base and die cut the centre with an MFT circle shaker die and added shaker pieces cut from Shimmer Sheetz in pink and purple and added some clear confetti pieces. Die cut the hugs several times and glued them together. Added Nuvo shimmer pen over the die.

Hope you enjoyed these cards today and thanks so much for stopping by.

Love You

Hi eveyone,

Today I have another Valentine's Day card to share with you.  This card is also perfect for the current Simon Says Flickr challenge where the theme is 'All My Love'. I have also been busy making slider cards with some Lawn Fawn products which I will be sharing later.

I started off by die cutting my quilted background. As all of the little holes didn't quite cut all the way through I ended up by poking only select ones out from around the card leaving the centre piece intact and taping them down on the back side of the card so they wouldn't fall out later.

I layered the panel onto a red card base. I die cut the love sentiment from some red glitter cardstock and stamped the sentiment on a piece of black cardstock and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Before adding my sentiments to the card I added some red paint splatters as I thought the centre was just too white.

I added my sentiments with some foam tape and then wrapped a piece of red and white twine across the top of my card.

Well that's it for this card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop die
Lawn Fawn Scripty Love die
Simon Says Stamp You 3x4 sentiment set
Red glitter cardstock
Martha Stewart red and white twine
Gansai Tambi red watercolour

Valentine's Hugs are the Best

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all back in the swing of things after the holidays and are busy crafting again.

I seem to be in the Valentine mode right now creating cards for Valentine's Day.
There is also the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge where the theme is to 'Stencil It' so I decided to use a Tim Holtz for this theme.

I started by taping a Tim Holtz Hearts stencil to a piece of cardstock. I added a layer of Deco Foil transfer gel to the stencil and set it to dry. Once dry I cut a piece of Gina K. Fancy Foil to the size of my piece and ran it through my laminating machine. It's hard to tell from the photo but there is a really nice glittery sparkle to this foil.

I die cut a circle from the piece and then die cut a larger circle in white with a stitched circle die and then and added it to the base. I popped up the heart circle piece with some foam tape and applied it on top.

The hugs die was cut 3 or 4 times from black cardstock and the pieces glued together for some dimension.
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I cut a frame from a scalloped rectangle die and added it around my piece.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Sugar Script Hugs

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share using a Simon Says Stamp stencil (which is one of my favourite ones) and Distress Oxide ink. Entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge where the theme is 'Stencil It'.

This was actually quite a quick card to make. I adhered the stencil to a piece of cardstock and blended Picked Raspberry Distress oxide ink over top. I ran the piece through my diecutting machine using a Wonky rectangle die . The 2 piece hugs sentiment set from Birch Press Design was die cut with pink cardstock and a piece of vellum.

I adhered my stencilled panel to a piece of pink cardstock and mounted it to my card base. The hugs were adhered with foam tape for a little added dimension. I then added some crystal accents and that completes my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp Swirls and Dots stencil
Birch Press Design Big Hugs Sugar Script dies
MFT Die-namics Stitched Wonky rectangle die set
Distress Oxide ink in Picked Raspberry

Foil Hearts

Hi everyone,

Well I'm off to a bit of a slow start for 2019 but I'm hoping to improve on that and create more often.

Anyways for today's card I created a foil hearts background using a Simon Says Stamp stencil and some deco foil. I just love working with foil and my laminator. The possibilites are endless as to what you can foil. I'm adding this card to the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #114 where the theme is to 'Stencil It'.

I started off by creating my foil background using some Summer Rainbow Deco foil with some transfer gel and my stencil. I love all the different colours of hearts that you get from his foil.

I stamped the sentiment on the background piece and die cut the larger sentiment twice and adhered it to my card. I added a sheet of foam to my background and mounted that to a piece of black cardstock cut slightly larger. I used a Hero Arts Infinity die on both the background and black piece and used a corner punch to round the corners of my card base.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts stencil
Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing Stamps and die
Hero Arts Rounded Rectangle Infinity die set
Thermoweb Deco Foil Summer Rainbow transfer sheets
Thermoweb Deco Foil transfer gel

Happy New Year 2019

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year to you all. I wish nothing but Health, Happiness and lots of Kindness for a brand new year.

I have 2 cards that I created to celebrate the occasion with all the glitz and glitter.

For my first card I adhered a piece of Kraft Goil Foil cardstock from Echo Park to my card base.
Then I went on to diecutting the tri window cover from some gold glitter cardstock. I adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the die and created a shaker card by adding some little gold stars.
I stamped the 'happy' sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and heat set with gold embossing powder. Used the matching die to cut it out.

The 'New Year' was also gold embossed onto a piece of black cardstock.

I adhered the panel with strips of foam tape and that completes this card.

For my second card I did the reverse of the first card by using the remaining rectangles from die cutting the first card and die cut the frame with the Kraft Foil cardstock.
I used a large sentiment which was die cut from black and gold shiny cardstock. Adhered the 2 pieces slightly offset and then added some black stars for a little interest.

I had fun making these and it was like creating 2 cards for one. By the way I gave the first card
to my Zumba teacher.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the New Year!

Supplies:

Mama Elephant Tri Window Cover die
MFT Die-namics Celebrate die
Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy add on stamps die
