Hugs & kisses

 Hi everyone,

Today I have 2 cards to share that I created with the new stencil set from Lawn Fawn.

For my first card I die cut a white panel with a stitched rectangle die. I blended different colours of Distress inks in a diagonal pattern using the heart stencil. When that was complete I laid the word stencil over top and applied the same colours that I did for the hearts but a little heavier pressure so they would be darker than the heart.

I adhered the panel to a card base covered with patterned paper. I die cut the hugs die from some red card stock and added chunky glitter to the bottom half of the die cut word.

For my second card:

I used a piece of kraft cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine using a stitched rectangle die.

I started with just the heart stencil again and blended 2 different colours of Distress inks over the hearts. I applied the first ink colour and then went over it again using a slightly darker colour to just the top portion of the hearts. I put my heart stencil back in place and added some gel paste to every other row of hearts. It really is quite glittery!!!

The sentiment was die cut from a piece of red cardstock.

I added the striped pattern paper to my card base and then added my finished panel.

Well that completes both if my cards and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Hugs are the Best!

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a fun slimline card to share that I created using a stencil and a bunch of Distress inks.

I first die cut a white panel using a slimline stitched die. I didn’t have a slimline stencil for this design so I used a 6x6 stencil and started off by ink blending my lightest colours first and then carefully shifting the stencil along to blend the rest of the colours.

When I finished applying all the colours I added some water splatters. I die cut a black panel using a slimline scalloped die to go behind my stencilled panel.

The Hugs die was cut twice with black cardstock and once from a piece of black foam.

I adhered the rainbow panel to my black card piece and then added that to my card base.

For a finishing touch I added a few clear sequins.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Let it Snow

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I made for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #167 where the theme is “Winter Chill”

I started by adhering a snowflake stencil to a small rectangle piece of white card stock and applied Whipped Spackle gesso to the stencil.

I used a hillside die to cut out my little hill which was coloured with Distress ink and I added the stamped sentiment to the middle. The little snowman was stamped with black ink and Copic coloured.

I decided to frame out my image so I die cut the frame using 2 stitched rectangle dies.

Everything was added to my card base and the snowman and frame were popped up with foam tape.

I added some glitter to the brim of the snowman’s hat with some Aqua Shimmer and chunky glitter to my hill.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Thankful

 Happy weekend everyone,

Well we are in the midst of a snowstorm here in Montreal which is actually quite pretty with all the trees heavily laden with crisp white snow. I’ll have to get out later to take a few photos.

My card today is cased from a few cards that Chari Moss recently created for Lawn Fawn. Also entering it in the current Simon Says Stamp Layer It Up challenge here

I started by adhering a bunch of coloured strips of card stock to a piece o white card stock covered in tape.

I ran the piece through my die cutting machine using a Simon Says Stamp heart die.

The die cut sentiment was die cut from Holographic card stock. The other sentiment is from a sentiment strip set of pre printed words from Paper Rose.

I used foam tape to pop everything up and added a tiny strip of the same holographic paper under the sentiment strip.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Sparkle heart

 Hi everyone,

Good morning to Sunday.

Today I have a card to share using the 2nd heart stencil from Honey Bee stamps.

This stencil has smaller hearts than the one I used in my previous post.

I started by applying some Nuvo glimmer paste (which is the first time I have used it and quite like the colour) to a piece of black card stock over my stencil. I originally had a square piece but after the paste was dry I decided to use a die to cut out a heart instead.

I die cut a smaller white panel using a stitched die and blended some ink over the centre. I stamped my sentiment with black ink just under where I would adhere the heart.

I added foam tape to the panel and foam tape to the heart and adhered them to the card.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Sending you hugs

Good Saturday morning,

Today I have a card to share using a bunch of different products from various companies.

I taped down my stencil and blended 5 different colours of Distress inks over top. I then ran the panel through my die cutting machine using a large stitched rectangle die.

The Hugs die was cut once from black card stock and once from a gold glimmer card stock. I added foam tape to the back of the black piece and glued the gold piece over top offsetting it a little as to give it a slight shadow effect.

I stamped the other words with black ink directly to the panel and then added my die cut word piece.

I die cut some little tiny hearts from the gold card stock and glued them to the panel. I then added the whole panel to a Kraft coloured card.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Winter Trees

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share using an older Hero Arts stamp called Winter Trees.

I started by stamping the image using a tri-colour ink pad. When dry I stamped over the image again with Versamark clear ink and embossed with Psychedelic glitter powder. It added such a rainbow of colour to my image.

The sentiment was stamped directly to the bottom of the card. I decided last minute to add a die cut stitched rectangle border around the image. In doing so, it cut off part of the word winter.

I had to fix this by stamping the words winter cheer onto a strip of white card stock and foam taping it over the 2 original stamped words. Seemed to have fixed my issue. Yeah!

I die cut a tiny snowflake from a piece of Holographic paper and added that to my card.

Well that’s if my for card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set

Happy New Year

 Hi everyone,

Well 2020 is behind us and thank goodness. I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year with health, happiness and a brighter future for the coming year.

I used 2 different ink colours and blended them over my background which was die cut using a stitched rectangle die.

I added ink splatters over top with white and gold paint colours. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

Before adhering the panel to my card I added Versamark ink to the edges of my card and embossed with gold embossing powder.

For a final touch I added some clear crystal embellishments.

The panel was added to my card with foam tape and that completes my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy 2021 🙏🏻❤️
