Winter White village

Hi everyone,

Today I have a fun project to share that was very time consuming but crazy enjoyable to create using the Tim Holtz village series dies.

This is my village.

I created 6 houses for my piece.

My husband cut a couple of nice wood slices from some firewood that we had and I built up my village from there. The only thing I wish I had when making this were some Distress Mica flakes. They would have added a nice touch. I used what I had on hand from the $$ store.

I used 2 large wood slices and glued them together a little offset for my base. I added a bunch of wood shavings, glitter, red berries, branches, pine cones, styrofoam balls etc. I adhered all the houses and added my white tree to the middle.

I added Aleene’s Glitter Snow paste to all the roof tops and doorway peaks to add a subtle sparkle. The red bird is a die from Lawn Fawn.

Overall size is approximately 8.6” L x 6” W.

Well this is it for my project and stay tuned for my house projects as I now have the 87 piece set from Sizzix and Tim Holtz.

Holiday note

 Hi everyone,

Well it’s been a while since I have posted here but I hope you have all had a joyful Christmas as much as anyone can under the current circumstances.

Well that said I have a card to share with you today.

I started with a green stitched panel and adhered my stencil from the Warm Wishes Collection by Vicki Boutin and then added green glitter over top.
I added red Stickles to the berries and set the whole thing aside to dry.

The sentiment was stamped on black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

I adhered my panel to a lighter piece of green card stock and then added it to my white card base.

This is a pretty quick card and oh so pretty with all that glitter.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by🙏🏻

Once I was finished with the blending I ran my piece through my die cut machine using a stitched rectangle die.

I added my panel to a white card base and added a sequin to the centre of where each of the star design meets.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of black card stock and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

Hello sunshine

 Hi everyone 🍁

Well Fall is definitely in the air and so are all the beautiful leaf colours.

Today I have a card to share for the current Simon Says Stamp IG challenge and also their Wednesday challenge.

I die cut a piece of 80 lb card stock with a large stitched rectangle die.

I then used a leaf stencil set to create my background blending 2 different colours of Distress ink. When the panel was dry I added stencil paste over one of the stencils to add sparkle to only some of the leaves.

I die cut 2 small leaves and blended with Distress inks and then heat embossed the edges with gold embossing powder.

The centre sentiment piece was stamped with Versamark and also heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I mounted the panel and the sentiment to my card base of yellow card stock with foam tape and adhered the leaves directly.

 Hi everyone,

Well today I have my first Christmas card for this year to share with you.

Before adding my finished piece to my card base I decided to heat embossed the edges with red glitter embossing powder.

I stamped my sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I added the panel directly to my card base and foam mounted the sentiment.

To finish the card off I added some red Stickles to some of the red berries.

Here comes Halloween

 Hi everyone,

Today I have 3 Halloween cards to share with you which I used alcohol inks on each of them.

For my first card I used a ruler with a strip of felt and added drops to the edge and began pouncing the ruler up and down on the long thin edge to create my background.

For my second card I added alcohol inks directly to a piece of Yupo paper and blended them together with the help of my Tim Holtz air tool to move them around.

For my third card I die cut the words Happy Halloween from the background piece which was used from the second card before I had assembled it.  For the negative space that was left on my second card I die cut the Happy Halloween die from silver sparkle paper and glued it directly into the space.

I used various Lawn Fawn stamp and dies and coloured my images with Copics.

I added Glow in the Dark stencil paste to the tops of the trees on Card 1 and the windows and stars on Card 2 and used a starry sky stencil to add glow in the dark to the striped background.

Well that’s it for my fun Halloween cards for today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Sending hugs

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share using alcohol inks on a gold foiled acetate sheet.

I used gold foil on a piece of acetate with leaves on it. As the foiling didn’t take completely to the black images I decided to scratch off some of the gold foil to give it a distressed look.

I added colour to the acetate by applying some alcohol inks to the back side. For a little extra interest I sprinkled on some red glitter while the ink was still a bit wet. I added the acetate panel to a piece of white card stock and then adhered that to a piece of orange card stock. Instead of adding the whole panel to a white card base I added it to a yellow panel with tiny flowers.

The sentiment was stamped onto black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder.

To finish off my card I added a few tiny orange rhinestone crystals.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp Tumbling Leaves Acetate sheet
Pinkfresh Studio Perfect Sentiments Stamp and die
Alcohol inks - Dandelion, Valencia

Boo card

 Hi everyone,

Today’s card is just the beginning of my Halloween cards for this year.

I started by ink blending my background with 2 different colours of Distress ink.
I die cut the circle background from a piece of black card stock. I stamped the images and coloured with Copics.

I decided to add a little sparkle to the card base by inking the edges with Versamark ink and embossing with Black Diamond embossing powder.

I added a white panel to my card followed by the ink blended panel and then the circle die last.

The BOO letters were die cut with black card stock twice. One set I left black and the other set I added some metallic ink over top.

I stamped Boo in each corner circle then added all my other elements with foam tape.

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I created using a new die from Hero Arts called Sun Flare.

I started by running the die through my die cutting machine to cut out the white outline.

I then ran the die through my die cutting machine several more times in order to cut out all the different colours of card stock and glitter card stock.

Before I glued the small middle panel to my card base I stamped the sentiment in dark brown ink.

I used a stitched leaves die set to cut out the 2 leaves from shiny card stock and added them to my card with foam tape.

Well that’s it for my quick and colourful card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Sparkly thank you card

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share using a stencil from Pinkfresh Studio and some ink blending with Distress
Oxides.

I started by securing a slimline stencil to a white panel on my Make Art Stay-tion. As this was a slimline stencil I used a rectangle masking stencil over top so that I could have a nice clean white border around the edges of my panel and then began blending.

When I was finished with the blending I die cut a scalloped frame to go over top. I adhered the panel and my frame to my card base. The sentiment (Perfect Sentiments from Pinkfresh Studio) was stamped with black ink and cut out with the matching die.
The wonderful thing about this stamp and die set is that you can stamp and die cut several different sentiments at once having some left over for other cards.

After the sentiment was adhered with foam tape I added the jewels to my card. Two rows of turquoise and one row of yellow. These beautiful sparkly jewels are also from Pinkfresh Studio.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:
Pinkfresh Studio Diamond Motif slimline stencil
Pinkfresh Studio Perfect Sentiments stamp and die
Taylored Expressions Rectangle Masking stencil
MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Frame die
Pinkfresh Studio jewel embellishments - Ocean Breeze, Sunshine
Distress Oxide inks - Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade,

I was going to leave it like that but decided instead to create a shaker card. I haven’t made a shaker card in quite a while so I went for it.

The top panel was cut from a rectangle set of dies and added to the top which was perfect for matching the card base stitching.
