Happy Day

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I am also entering in the current Simon Says Flickr challenge where the theme is 'Anything Goes'.

I die cut a piece of watercolour cardstock with Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle die and added Ken Oliver's color burst powder in Violet to that piece until I had a nice blend of colour. I also added some splats of water.

I moved onto coloring and diecuting all the pieces with Lawn Fawn's Fortune Teller Tabby with Copics. The crystal ball centre was die cut using a piece of Ranger's Silver Sparkle Alcohol Ink cardstock to which I stamp my sentiment.

I wanted a contrast to my background so I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe and blended  some black ink just around the edges of my card base.

I added the purple panel with foam and popped up the images and sentiment. I also added a piece of black and white twine to the top fold of my card.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Falling leaves thanks

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I created for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #131 where the theme is 'Falling for Fall'.

I started by creating my background using a stencil and 3 different colours of Distress inks and using my new Taylored Expressions blending brushes. I absolutely love them. The blending is so smooth and crisp. I also blending another leaf on a small piece of white cardstock, fussy cut it out and popped it onto my panel with some foam dots.

The whole panel was cut using a wonky stitched rectangle die.

I die cut the Thanks die with black cardstock a couple of time and glued them together. The other words were stamped with clear embossing powder and embossed with white embossing powder.

The whole panel was attached to my card to which I had adhered a black piece of cardstock. I added a few sequins to finish off my card.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Sweet Anniversary

Hi everyone,

Sorry it’s been a couple of weeks but I have been thoroughly enjoying our beautiful summer here and have not spent much time in my craft room. Today however is a rainy day so here I am.

I have a card to share that I had created for my daughter and son-in-law’s 1st Wedding Anniversary. They live in Hawaii and I only wanted to post the card after they had received it.

I started by creating my background panel using a stencil and distress oxide ink. I blended the ink heavily at the top left of the panel and then eased off my pressure for the remainder of the blending.

The panel was die cut using a large stitched rectangle die.

I had the stamped and die cut cherries in my stash from a previous project and thought they would work well with my background.  I die cut the sweet sentiment using gold glitter card stock.

I stamped the remaining sentiments with black ink and added some crystal accents and a little glossy accents on the cherries.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.
