Aloha

Hi everyone,

Well Fall is here and it's my favourite time of the year. There's a slight chill in the air and the leaves are slowly starting to change colours.

Our daughter recently moved to Hawaii where the temperature is still quite hot and the palm leaves blow in the wind. I made this card with her in mind.

I used a Newton's Nook stencil and a couple of ink colours to create the background which I ran through my die cutting machine to add the border around the card.

I stamped the sweet little Mama Elephant monkeys and coloured them using Copics. I didn't purchase the die set so I had to fussy cut the images.

The Lawn Fawn sentiment was die cut with green cardstock and also a piece of dark brown glitter cardstock to add a little accent behind the die piece.

The whole panel was mounted onto a green card base using a sheet of foam.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Newton's Nook
Mama Elephant
MFT Die-namics
Lawn Fawn
Wink of Stella

WOW You amaze me!

Hi everyone,

Well it's an incredibly rainy, windy day here so I am in my craft room and have a card to share that I created using some Alcohol inks which I absolutely love. They are a bit messy (rubber gloves recommended) but are so much fun and the results are awesome every time.

I blended 2 different colours on a panel of Yupo paper. I used a Mama Elephant window cover die on a piece of yellow cardstock and foam mounted it over my ink blended background piece. I die cut the WOW sentiment using a MFT die-namics die 3 times and applied it to the background slightly offsetting the bottom layer of white so as to create a shadow effect.

The Simon Says Stamp sentiment was stamped in black ink and heat embossed using some clear embossing powder.

I added some sparkly embellishments and that's it for my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

thanks friend

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I am entering in the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge where the theme is 'Totally Resistible'.

I started with a Simon Says Stamp stencil and added Versamark ink to it and heat set with white embossing powder. I then blended 2 different colours of Distress Oxide over the panel and then used a large stitched rectangle die to cut out the piece.

I die cut the thanks die twice and glued them together and added them to the card base. Stamped the sentiment onto a strip of pink cardstock with black ink and applied clear embossing powder and heat set. Added to the card base with a bit of foam tape.

Added the whole panel to a card base of 110lb Neenah white cardstock, added some sequins and that's it for my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Big Hugs and Prayers

Hi everyone,

Well it is still beautiful weather here. Nice and hot and sunny. Just the way I like it.

I have enjoyed spending a lot of time outside and hence not too creative in the craft room. I guess that will soon change when the weather changes.

Here's a card I did manage to create a while back but never got around to posting.
 I

I used the relatively new Altenew Step Builder stencil and 2 different colours of Altenew ink cubes. I love these Altenew stencils.

Once the background was created I ran it through my diecutting machine using an MFT Die-namics die.

I die cut the Hugs from Mama Elephant a few time and glued them together. Stamped the sentiment onto a strip of light blue cardstock and mounted everything onto a base of navy blue cardstock.

Well that's if for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Altenew Step Builder stencil
Mama Elephant Tri Window Cover die
MFT Die-namics Inside and Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die

Friends forever

Hi everyone,

Well summer is still in full swing with nice hot days and plenty of sunshine. Love it! Maybe I can back to producing more cards. I've been quite lazy lately.

That being said today I do have a card to share for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge where the there is 'Stamp on It' in honor of their month long Stamptember celebration. Details on their blog here.

Here's my card:

I used the cute adorable stamp image from Studio Katia called Best Friends. I watercoloured the image using a combination of Koi Watercolors and Gansai Tambi watercolors.

When I was finished I die cut the panel with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and foam mounted the panel onto a card base of patterned paper.

I stamped the sentiments with Versamark ink and heat set using some Simon Says Stamp white embossing powder.

Well that completes my card and thanks so much for stopping by.
