2023 Christmas shops

Hi everyone,

I am sharing my 2023 Christmas shops that I made using a lot of Tim Holtz Idea-ology products.

I added red Distress crayon to the metal sentiment piece.

I added white Distress crayon to the metal sentiment.

The below photo shows the inside of each of the boxes.

I used striped card stock and added to the sides of this box and added some Sparkle paste to it.

I used an embossing folder and red card stock to add to the outsides of the red shop and a stencil for the inside walls of the shop.

I covered wooden pieces with paper to make the gift boxes.

The soldier was painted with Distress pain.

Well that’s it for my shops. Thanks for stopping by 🙏🏻

Tiny tag embellishments

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a little project to share using a stamp set, StazOn black ink, shrink plastic and alcohol inks to create tiny tag embellishments.

Below is the stamp set I used to create them.

I stamped each word on to a piece of shrink plastic using the black StazOn ink.

I then trimmed down each word and used a punch to add a small hole at the top of each tag before heating them. The word will curl up when heating but don’t be alarmed as it will flatten out if you continue to heat just a little bit longer.

When it was cooled I added a tiny bit of alcohol ink to the back side of each shrunken piece being careful not to let it drip onto the front side of the tag. If the alcohol ink drips onto the front of the word it will start to erase the inked word.

Below are the colours of Alcohol inks that I used.

To give you an idea of the finished sizes the word Christmas measures 1.25” and the word
Hope is 3/4” when shrunken down.
You can see from the first photo the size of each stamp and then the finished sizes.

Well that’s it for my tiny tag embellishments.

Hope you liked them and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Today I have a fun card to share with this awesome dude which I have named Frank.
I started by die cutting all the pieces and colouring and assembling them.

The woodgrain background panel was die cut for the and coloured with Distress inks and then a layer of Distress Sparkle paste added over top.

I took an Idea-ology frame and added some red ink to the edges and some snow at the bottom with Distress paste,

I added a plaid panel to my black piece of card stock and then onto a red card base.

The panel behind the frame is an Idea-ology Kraft stock Blackout piece of card stock sprayed with Distress Mica spray stain.

I added a little silver bell with red and white twine to the reindeer and that’s it for this card.

Noel & Joy

 Hi everyone,

Today I have 2 cards to share using a bunch of different products and some watercolour ink smooshing.

I started by die cutting the words in green and red felt.
To each of the word backgrounds I used a piece of Idea-ology Christmas wallpaper and applied some Distress Sparkle paste over top.

I ink smooshed the backgrounds onto a piece of watercolour card stock. When dry I sprayed with a bit of Distress spray stain.

When dry I added a stencil to each of the backgrounds and applied Distress texture paste,

Before adding the paste I embossed the panel  with a stitched rectangle die piece.

Also before the stencil and paste I stamped some words in the same colour of Distress inks on to each panel.

I added glossy accents to each of the stars and berries and sprinkled with a bit of Distress Clear Rock Candy glitter.

Well that’s it for my cards today and thanks so much for stopping by🙏🏻

The brick wall is a mini embossing folder inked with Distress inks

The figure was die cut and sprayed with Phantom Mist mica spray

The Dead of Night

 Hi everyone,

When I ordered all the new Etcetera release from Stampers Anonymous I wasn’t sure what piece to start with first. Well what I did was start with the base for my project which is one of the 5.25” x 7.25” pieces from the rectangle set. To create my frame I went with the outside frame piece around the mosaic tiles set - the long rectangular piece.

Here’s what I finished with

I covered the base panel with a piece from the Layers Idea-ology backdrops. I left it the way it was inking only the edges with black ink. The piece is a nice dark blue floral with bits of light blue which I thought was nice to set the mood for the rest of my piece.

I painted the long rectangle frame with purple paint and used my sanding disk to scuff up the edges.

My orange background is also an Idea-ology Layers background which I sprayed with Distress Burning Ember mica spray. It give a nice shimmer to the piece.

I also added a stencil to my orange background and chose a light colour of ink to blend over top. I wanted just a subtle effect.

For the bat etcetera frame pieces I painted them with black paint and then sprayed them with Distress Iron Gate mica spray. I added them with tack nails.

I added Idea-ology Design tape to the top and bottom edge and also on the bats on edge side.

Die cut the fence with silver metallic card stock and all other pieces were cut with regular card stock.

I added 2 word chip sentiment pieces with a little tape under each one, a star and flower both inked with black alcohol ink, a bone, mummy cloth and a mask to the skull and gravestone.

Well that’s it for my Halloween make today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Sister witches

Hi everyone,

Well the summer is rolling along and the next fun time coming up is Halloween 🎃 I have already started making some Halloween cards and today I have a fun tag to share.

I started by embossing a piece of white Distress heavy stock paper and embossed with an embossing folder.
I then blended different colours of Distress inks and crayons to the tag and gave it a few flicks of black paint.

I die cut all the elements for my tag and began adding them to my tag.
I gave the witches green alcohol inked hats on silver sparkle alcohol ink card stock.
The ends of the witches brooms were done with snips of mummy cloth that I had dyed with Distress ink.

I added Distress Crypt paste to the edges of the tag which were already darkened with Black Soot Distress ink.

The pumpkins were Spiced Marmalade Distress ink with the matching embossing glaze over top.

I added an Idea-ology metal spider to which I added Sterling Foundry wax
