To my stud puffin

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share using the cute Stud Puffin stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I am also entering this card into their current 'For the Birds' challenge which can be found here. Simon Says Stamp also has a current Flickr challenge where the theme is ‘Lotsa Love’.

I started by creating the background for my card using the Quilted Backdrop die and some white cardstock. I stamped the puffins and coloured them with Copics.
The large heart was die cut from a Smon Says Stamp die using a piece of patterned red cardstock. I also cut a small heart from some glitter cardstock.

The sentiments were stamped onto black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

You are loved

Hi everyone,

I have a card to share today that I created with a stencil, Distress oxide inks and some beautiful white glitter gel. Entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday challenge to use a stencil. Details here. Also for their Flickr challenge where the theme is 'Lotsa Love'.

First I attached the stencil to a piece of white cardstock, added my stencil and started by applying 3 different shades of oxide inks starting with the lighter shade at the top, medium shade through the middle and the darkest shade at the bottom. Leaving the stencil in place I applied an thin, even coat of white glitter gel from Gina K. I am in love with this glitter that I ordered another jar so I wouldn't run out. I absolutely love, love the beautiful effect of this glitter.

Once everything was dry I layered the finished piece on to a piece of pink cardstock.
The die sentiment was cut with some shiny black cardstock and the sentiment was stamped on to a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The whole panel was applied to my card base and that finishes this card off.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hello friend

Hi everyone,

I have a new stencil and die that I used on this card from Simon Says Stamp.

Because the stencil is very delicate I thought it would  be perfect to do some ink blending using 2 different colours of Oxide inks.

After I had blended the colours I die cut the whole panel using a stitched rectangle die.

I die cut the friend sentiment with black  cardstock a few times and glued them together. I used the shadow die from the set and cut a piece of light pink vellum. I stamped the small hello and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The sentiments were added to my card and I added the whole panel to a card base which was covered with a piece of pink cardstock.

I added a couple of embellishments and that finished off my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
