My 12 File folders of Xmas 2022

 Hi everyone,

I call these my 12 File Folders of Xmas 2022.  I started them before Xmas and was only able to complete the outsides. I didn’t file anything in the folders themselves. Maybe I could save that for next Christmas. We’ll see.

I used the Tim Holtz /Sizzix Soecimen die set to cut all the folders from different coloured card stock.

For the numbered tabs I sandwiched coloured or glittered card stock to show through the number openings.

I added the Idea-ology card pieces to the front of each folder and then decorated them with either embellishment die pieces and/or tape.

The word file pieces were die cut from cream coloured card stock and I added either green or red inked pieces to the backs before gluing them in place.

The outside of the numbered tabs were inked with either green or red Distress inks.

This is what the folders look like standing up.

Well that’s it for my project for today and thanks so much for stopping by.

A wonderful life

 Hi everyone,

Well I have a long post of photos today to showcase my Christmas creation  - A Wonderful Life. It took me quite a while to put this all together but I am quite happy with the results.

I started with an Idea-ology wooden box and covered the sides and top with Idea-ology Christmas papers that I had added a Mosaic stencil over top and then applied Distress Snowfall grit paste to the stencil. It gives a beautiful sparkly effect. Gold metallic die cut pieces were added to the corners and joints of the box.

The front side edges of the box were painted red to which I added design tape over top.

I added a piece of patterned Idea-ology paper and a Diamond design stencil with Distress snowfall grit paste over top to the top of the box.

The sides of the box with the stencilled pattern and the Snowfall grit paste. So pretty!

The inside side walls of the box were covered with embossed paper using embossing folders. The back walls were filled with various Idea-ology and pocket cards.

The barrel was distressed with Distress crayons. The baubles were covered with collage medium and Rock Candy glitter.

The deer was distressed with a crayon and glitter over top. I added Distress grit paste to the round sign.

The globe was painted with Distress paint. I added Statue wax to the deer and frosted the glass with a little collage medium. I added a mica flakes inside.

I added Candied Apple Distress crayon to the metal charm sentiment.

I covered the shelves with plaid and black and white check design tape.
The deer is sitting on a wood slice painted white and added Mica flakes. I created a tiny book next to the deer.

I added gold metallic strips which were distressed with Walnut Stain crayon.
Strips of Design tape were added to the edges of the box. I also added some Ephemera Poinsettias here and there.

I added a little Statue Foundry wax to a thimble and added a candle with Candied Apple Distress crayon and Foundry wax.
Silver tinsel was added to the base of the candle holder and can be seen in other areas of the box.

I created 2 shelves for my box which were covered with Design tape.

I added some tiny elements of a mix of Idea-ology bubbles and some small beads that I had to my glass tube which were coloured with Alcohol inks.

The candy canes and confection pieces were covered with glitter.

I added icicles to the top of the box.

Idea-ology Christmas stickers and words were added in different places.

The red star was painted and crackle paint over top. I added a wreath to the top and also a brass knob.

Gold metallic embossed strips were added to the joints and edges of the box.

I added a metal star with red Distress crayon.

The inside walls were covered with red and green card stock that i embossed and rubbed gold metallic over top.

A wide strip of red velvet ribbon was added to the inside bottom piece of the box.

A metal plaque saying a Wonderful life was added to the top shelf.

I added gold trim pieces using an Impresslits folder.

I added Idea-ology poinsettia and holly pieces to the sides of the box.

A brass bell tied with a piece of red and white twine was added to the bottom inside.

Well that’s it for my labour of love which I so enjoyed creating. I hope you enjoy it too and thanks for stopping by to have a look 🙏🏻

Dashing through the snow

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share with a lot of different elements.

I started by creating my base piece by covering a piece of red card stock with Christmas collage paper. I added lots of white paint splatters to the piece and let dry.

The deers were die cut from a piece of two tone woodgrain grey card stock. The sentiment was stamped with red ink and distressed with some Distress spray stain and ink.

For the arch piece I painted an Etcetera piece white and then distressed it with some crackle paste. I added a bit of brown ink to grunge it up a bit.
I used number dies and cut them from red metallic card stock.

Behind the arch I added a turquoise piece of card stock to which I added a snow stencil and applied white glitter paste.

I added 2 Bottlebrush trees which were stamped and fussy cut. I added some red gems to the trees.

For the deers I added a little shelf painted red and wrapped with striped design tape.

Well that’s it for my card today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻
