Hi everyone,

Halloween makes are always fun.
Here is a fun tag created with Distress sprays, some crackle paste and a stencil.

I started by applying the crackle paste through the stencil.

Once dry I added the sprays.
The pumpkin was stamped and then coloured with Distress watercolour pencils.

I added some Idea-ology pieces and that completes my tag.

I added some Distress Icicle Crackle paste over a few areas.

Spring is coming

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a rather large Spring tag to share with you. That bird is a big bird so I needed the space😀

I started by creating my bird and egg first. I then went onto the background of the tag.

I used a stencil and some Distress inks. Then I added a layer of Distress paste off top.
In different places I added some stamped writing and images to the background. I also distressed the edges of the tag with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.

I added an Idea-ology flower to the tag which I had coloured with Distress crayons. I had die cut the letters Spring from a piece that I had alcohol inked and had added silver foil to.

The butterfly is an ephemera Idea-ology piece.
You can see the crackle in the photo above and below.

I die cut some branches and foliage. I also added trim to both the top and bottom of the tag.
The tag was mounted to a piece of cork and clipped at the top with an Idea-ology clip.

I added an Idea-ology sentiment and the numbers 2 and 0 were die cut signifying the first day of Spring for 2023.

You can see the Icicle paste crackle below.

Well that’s it for today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Happy Day

Hi everyone,

Well it’s another snowy day here so it’s time to play in my craft room.

I had coloured some Idea-ology eggs and rabbits the other day it was time to make something with them. I chose to create a tag.

I started with a Kraft coloured tag glued to a piece of chipboard. I added layers of Distress spray and  some stamped images in black ink.

The rabbit was painted with Walnut Stain Distress paint and the eggs with alcohol inks. The paper grass is from my stash.I also added a google eye to the rabbit.

I added a hinge clip to the top of the tag that was painted with Tarnished Brass Distress paint.
I used Star stencil on the background and also a Woodgrain stencil.

All the sentiments were from the Stampers Anonymous Eccentric stamp set. The round piece was embossed with gold embossing powder. The hand is an Idea-ology piece.

I stamped some gold stars and some lettering also from the Eccentric stamp set.
I added some Crackle paint to parts of the edges of the tag and also added bits of Tarnished Brass paint to the edges and bottom.

I made a shelf for the bunny and eggs to sit on using a strip of chipboard to which I added a strip using a Decorative Trim die. The shelf was painted with Kitsch Flamingo Distress paint.

The sticker is from the Idea-ology Sentiments Label stickers.

Well that’s it for my tag today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Dashing through the snow

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share with a lot of different elements.

I started by creating my base piece by covering a piece of red card stock with Christmas collage paper. I added lots of white paint splatters to the piece and let dry.

The deers were die cut from a piece of two tone woodgrain grey card stock. The sentiment was stamped with red ink and distressed with some Distress spray stain and ink.

For the arch piece I painted an Etcetera piece white and then distressed it with some crackle paste. I added a bit of brown ink to grunge it up a bit.
I used number dies and cut them from red metallic card stock.

Behind the arch I added a turquoise piece of card stock to which I added a snow stencil and applied white glitter paste.

I added 2 Bottlebrush trees which were stamped and fussy cut. I added some red gems to the trees.

For the deers I added a little shelf painted red and wrapped with striped design tape.

Well that’s it for my card today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Post card Christmas tag

 Hi everyone,

Well I’ve been working on a Christmas tag lately and here it is.

I started by painting a tag with the new Lumberjack Plaid Distress paint. I added a piece of Idea-ology Christmas collage paper over top.

I added a layer of Collage medium over the top of my collage paper and while it was still wet I sprinkled bits of the Idea-ology tinsel over top.

I painted overtop of the berries with the new colour of Distress paint and added little white centres with a white gel pen.

I added a pinecone stencil over top and applied grit paste and some Rock Candy glitter.
The hinge clip was painted with white paint and distressed a bit with Distress crayons.

I used a stencil to create my date using the Lumberjack Plaid ink and added little black dots with a fine tip marker.

I cut up an Idea-ology candy cane into little pieces and added to my Etcetera ledge which I painted
white and added some Mica flakes to it.

The star is an Idea-ology piece from the Christmas Baseboards pack which I painted with Lumberjack Plaid and added crackle paste.

The deer is an Idea-ology piece which I dipped in Rock Candy glitter.

I added Idea-ology design tape to the bottom and top of my tag and also added sentiment pieces here and there.

The edges of my tag were inked with the Lumberjack Plaid.

Well that’s it for my fun tag and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Fall art

 Hi everyone,

Well all the leaves are gone from our Maple tree for this year and my card reflects the beautiful colours it gave us.

I started by blending Distress ink colours onto a piece of card stock and then die cut my leaves. I then added translucent crackle paste to them and set aside to dry.

Once the paste was dry I rubbed on some Walnut Stain ink so it would seep into the cracks of the leaves.

My background was created using several different colours of Distress inks and added some Distress spray stain.

I inked the edges of my card with Distress Walnut Stain ink and tore little bits of the card here and there.

I added other touches of colour with the brown twig and green sprig.

I chose a cream coloured card for my base and inked the edges with gold metallic rub on.

To finish the card I added my sentiments and a couple if enamel embellishments.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:

Tim Holtz Fall Foliage die set
Tim Holtz Idea-ology quote chips

Limited edition framed flowers

 Hi everyone,

On today’s card I decided to use a small Idea-ology Baseboards/Frame from Tim Holtz and distress it with paint and crackle paste. I used the small frame circled in the second photo below.

I painted the frame white and added some crackle paint over top. When dry I scuffed it up a bit with my sander. The nice thing about this paste is it adds such a fine bit of crackle.

I added a stencil to a piece of black card stock and blended Shaded Lilac Distress oxide ink over top.

The background piece behind the flowers was blended with 3 different shades of Distress oxides and black paint splatters were added.

I used the flower die with a piece of black card stock to cut it out. I adhered it behind the frame which was foam mounted to my card.

The sentiment is a chipboard piece which I also distressed with a bit of crackle paste.
The photos below show the detail of the crackle.

Well that’s it for this card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻
