Grave keeper tag

Hi everyone,

Halloween makes are always fun.
Here is a fun tag created with Distress sprays, some crackle paste and a stencil.

I started by applying the crackle paste through the stencil.

Once dry I added the sprays.
The pumpkin was stamped and then coloured with Distress watercolour pencils.

I added some Idea-ology pieces and that completes my tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Happy Birthday treat box

Hi everyone,

It has been a while but I thought I would share my little birthday treat box with you today.

I started my die cutting the box with plain white card stock, and then I painted on the rainbow of colours using distress paints, and then added little drops with a Mica stain spray.

At the end of each box I added a piece of gold coloured metallic card stock.

I die cut the Happy birthday with gold glitter card stock and adhered the letters to the front of the box.

It was pretty quick and easy to do but certainly makes a nice little treat box to give to someone for their birthday or any other occasion for that matter.

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by🙏🏻

The Dead of Night

 Hi everyone,

When I ordered all the new Etcetera release from Stampers Anonymous I wasn’t sure what piece to start with first. Well what I did was start with the base for my project which is one of the 5.25” x 7.25” pieces from the rectangle set. To create my frame I went with the outside frame piece around the mosaic tiles set - the long rectangular piece.

Here’s what I finished with

I covered the base panel with a piece from the Layers Idea-ology backdrops. I left it the way it was inking only the edges with black ink. The piece is a nice dark blue floral with bits of light blue which I thought was nice to set the mood for the rest of my piece.

I painted the long rectangle frame with purple paint and used my sanding disk to scuff up the edges.

My orange background is also an Idea-ology Layers background which I sprayed with Distress Burning Ember mica spray. It give a nice shimmer to the piece.

I also added a stencil to my orange background and chose a light colour of ink to blend over top. I wanted just a subtle effect.

For the bat etcetera frame pieces I painted them with black paint and then sprayed them with Distress Iron Gate mica spray. I added them with tack nails.

I added Idea-ology Design tape to the top and bottom edge and also on the bats on edge side.

Die cut the fence with silver metallic card stock and all other pieces were cut with regular card stock.

I added 2 word chip sentiment pieces with a little tape under each one, a star and flower both inked with black alcohol ink, a bone, mummy cloth and a mask to the skull and gravestone.

Well that’s it for my Halloween make today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

I stamped a sentiment stamp with black ink to different sections of the tag.here and there.

Fun specimen slides/tags

 Hi everyone,

Well Valentine’s Day is behind us now   so I thought I would work on something a little different. Making some little specimen slides. There are 12 in all.

I started by die cutting each slide and then spraying it with Distress Spray stain and then I used the matching ink pad colour to colour the background for each slide. I also added a few sprays with Lost Shadow Distress spray.

I ran the background piece through my corrugating roller. I then added a few drops of water to each piece.

I added an Idea-ology Ephermera or layer piece to each slide before adding a piece of acetate over top.

For the frame around the die cut word or number I sprayed a piece of card stock with Distress Mica sprays in Brushed Pewter, Antique Bronze and Tarnished so as to give the a metallic finish. I added a strip of brown card stock behind the word or number piece before adhering with tape.

On the top right corner I added an eyelet in either silver or copper and then attached an Idea-ology loop pin.

The word on the left of each slide is an Idea-ology Chitchat sticker.

Below is a photo to see all the Idea-ology sticker words on each slide.

Below are the 12 slides attached with Jute rope.

Here they are stacked.

I had so much fun making these and I hope you enjoy them too. Thanks so much for stopping by🙏🏻

Gladys and her scarf

Hi everyone,

I haven’t had Gladys out for a while and thought it was time she showed herself again. So she wouldn’t be too cold (after all it is Winter here) I gave her a hat and a wrap around scarf. Also added a bit of tinsel to her hat.

Here she is.

I first starting by creating my background using two different colours of Mica spray.
I then applied a Rose stencil using translucent crackle paste over top.

The crackle paste gives such fine detail cracks.
I also sprayed a bit of the 2 colours over top of the crackled image once it was dry.

I added a Ledger Script stamp with black ink to the areas where the crackled image wasn’t.

The script just adds a little something to the card front.

Well that’s it for my card today and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:

Tim Holtz Sizzix Gladys die set
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bold Text 2 stamp set
Stampers Anonymous Ledger Script stamp

Hi everyone,

I have a fun card to share using the Twig & Stump die set from Sizzix/Tim Holtz.

I inked my whole panel with Salvaged Patina oxide ink.

I started by die cutting all my pieces and setting them aside.

I inlaid silver sparkle letters to the wood sentiment piece.

I added Distress Mica Stain sprays in Merry Mint, Cocktail Party and Brushed Pewter over my inked background and also used a bit of Picket Fence spray.

I added mica flakes to the bottom of the card.

I die cut the baubles for the tree with different colours of card stock and also added white ones as snowflakes or snowballs.
I added an Idea-ology star to the top of my tree tinted with Laguna alcohol ink.

Underneath the tree I added a base using a die from the Sizzix Papercut Chicks die set.
I also added a bit of grit paste to it.

The edges of my panel was inked with Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner. I also ink blended the edges of my turquoise card base with Walnut Stain ink and used a Distress tool on the edges.
