Today is my birthday

 Hi everyone,

Today is my birthday and I decided to make myself a card instead of usually making them for others.

I used the new Bubbles stencil from Lawn Fawn which is so much fun to work with.

As the stencil comes with various sizes of bubbles I used a bunch of them to blend with Distress oxide inks. The stencil has little shine strips so you can add some glitter.

The whole panel was die cut using a Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle die.

The sentiment is from their new Magic Messages stamp set stamped with Gina K. Black ink.

This was quite a quick and fun card to make.

Thanks for stopping by and now off to play with my new Apple Watch. Gift from my hubby ❤️

Supplies:

Lawn Fawn Bubbles stencil
Lawn Fawn Magic Messages stamp set
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set
Lawn Fawn Spiffy Speckles 6x6 paper pack

Thanks

 Hi everyone,

Well it’s the end of another week and soon to be the end of another month. I sure find the time is flying by.

Today I have a card to share using a sanding technique.

I started by blending 2 colours of Distress oxide inks over my panel. I then ran the panel through my die cutting machine embossing it using a stencil.
I then used my Tim Holtz sanding block to lightly sand over the top revealing little bits of the white panel underneath. You don’t want to have too heavy a hand when sanding.
It is a neat technique with such a subtle effect.

I stamped the sentiment in black and cut that out with the coordinating die.

I also added a little die cut flower.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp Floating Leaves stencil
Lawn Fawn  Big Scripty Words stamp and die
Concord & 9th Tropical Vibes dies set - Flower
Distress Oxides - Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron

Alcohol ink cards

 Hi everyone,

I have 2 cards today using alcohol inks.

Unfortunately I didn’t take a photo of my completed alcohol ink panel before I die cut it to make 2 cards.

Here is the panel I started with. I used 4 different colours of Alcohol inks to blend my panel.

I used the Simply Diamonds die from Pinkfresh Studio to cut my panel. I was left with the positive criss cross piece you see below and also the negative Diamond pieces shown on the 2nd card.

For the 1st card I used Distress and Distress Oxide inks to blend a panel for my die cut piece. I flicked Silver Gansai Tambi onto the piece. I die cut the Hugs from a piece of Holographic paper and also a white of white vellum.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.
I adhered the cross cross panel directly to my card and added foam tape to the sentiment pieces.

Go my 2nd card I die cut a piece of white card stock with the panel die. I adhered that die cut piece directly to my card base.
I carefully inlaid all the Diamond pieces into place.
I die cut another panel with my die again, this time with a piece of textured off white shiny paper.
I adhered over the other diecut piece. I just wanted to give a little depth to the pieces.
I die cut the You from white a black card stock and adhered them together slightly offset.
The sentiment strip was stamped on black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder.

Well that’s it for my 2 cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Simon Says Stamp You stamp set

For you

Hi everyone,

I have a fun card to share using a large background stamp, 2 Distress re-inkers (embarrassed to say the only 2 I own) ☺️ and Gansai Tambi gold paint.

I started by stamping my large floral background stamp with Versamark ink onto a piece of watercolour card stock that had been cut with a rectangle stitched die.

I then heat embossed it with textured white embossing powder from Lawn Fawn.

I used drops of re-inkers in 2 different colours and then added some water. I moved the panel around so I could disperse the colours over the panel. I then added a bit of gold paint in different areas for a nice bit of shine here and there.

I was quite happy with the way the panel turned out as it looks nice and aged.

I die cut the large sentiment from some shiny gold card stock. The other sentiment was cut from the black & white sentiment sheets pack from Paper Rose.

I added the panel with foam tape to a stitched scalloped panel of turquoise card stock.

Well that it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Hello dear friend,

Hi everyone,

Well it’s a blustery, snowy day here in Montreal where it’s time to dream about warmer weather not too far away.

I have a card to share for the current Simon Says Stamp watercolor Instagram challenge and also for their current Anything Goes challenge in their Flickr group.

I stamped my flower image on a piece of watercolour paper with black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I dusted off my Tombow markers and coloured the image.

I die cut the Hello sentiment with black card stock a couple of times and glued them together.

I added the whole panel with foam tape to a piece of grey card stock and stamped the sentiment with black ink and add that with foam tape also.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:
Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello die
Mama Elephant Organic Blooms stamp set

Rainbow of love

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share for Valentine’s Day. It’s a rainbow of love 🌈

I started by die cutting my panel with white card stock. I then ink blended each piece with Distress inks and added some water splatters.

I was originally going to have the lines in white card stock but decided it would give the colours a better pop if I used black card stock instead.

I think it gives a nice dramatic effect.

I carefully added all the pieces to a panel which I had covered with a layer of tape.

The sentiment is from an old Flourishes.org stamp set which is perfect for adding tiny sentiments to a card.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻🥰

Supplies:
MFT Dienamics Horizontal Snow Drifts die
Flourishes Tag Lines stamp set
Distress inks - Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Moved Lawn, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet

Lots of Love

 Hi everyone,

I seem to have been taken over by the Valentines Day bug and have made quite a few cards.

Here’s one in the slimline format. I am entering this in the current Simon Says Stamp challenge to make a slimline card. Details on their blog here

I started by using the cloudy stencil to create my background. I then used 2 of the dies to cut out the stitched panel and the scalloped panel. I don’t have the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts Portrait die set so I carefully measured where I should die cut the 3 hearts and used the heart die from Lawn Fawn’s Magic Color Slider die set.

The 3 hearts were die cut from a piece of embossed patterned red card stock.

The 3 birdies and the hearts were coloured with Copics.

All the different panels were adhered to my card base and the sentiment pieces were added with some foam tape.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline with Hearts Landscape die set

Lawn Fawn Large Slimline with Sliders die set

Hello Lily

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share with some pretty Spring colours to help rid the winter blahs.

I created the panel for my card using a new Slimline stencil and SSS Jellybean ink blending the colour darkest in the middle and then lightest towards the edges.

Each layer of the flower was by stamped with a different colour of ink. The leaves were stamped with 3 different colours of green.

I stamped the Hello directly to the background piece and the flower was popped up with foam squares.

The whole thing was layered onto a piece of light mauve card stock and then added to my card base.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:
Pinkfresh Studio Diamond Motif slimline stencil
Altenew Peruvian Lily stamp and die set
