Peace & Joy

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a stencilled card to share with you.

I used a new stencil from Vicki Boutin and some Distress inks.

I adhered my stencil to a piece of white card stock and starting from the centre of the stencil blending first the purple colour and then blending a blue ink colour to the edges.

Once I was finished with the blending I ran my piece through my die cut machine using a stitched rectangle die.

I added my panel to a white card base and added a sequin to the centre of where each of the star design meets.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of black card stock and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

Well that’s it for this card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Teacher thank you

 Hi everyone,

I made this card using the new Sunny Studio stamps and dies. After a year like this past year teachers have been there every step of the way helping the kids during this trying time. Hats off to them ❤️

I stamped all the crayons first using several different ink colours and because there are so many layers my Misti certainly came in handy.

The background of the card was created with a stars embossing folder from DoCrafts to which I layered a piece of patterned paper behind it.

I stamped the teacher sentiment with the same inks used on the crayons and the other 2 sentiments were stamped on black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder.

The crayons were popped up with foam tape and sequins were added to give a little accent.

It was a bit of a time consuming card to make as I made a whole lot of the crayons at once but I think the effect is striking 🥰

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Supplies:

Hugs are the Best!

 Hi everyone,

Today I have a fun slimline card to share that I created using a stencil and a bunch of Distress inks.

I first die cut a white panel using a slimline stitched die. I didn’t have a slimline stencil for this design so I used a 6x6 stencil and started off by ink blending my lightest colours first and then carefully shifting the stencil along to blend the rest of the colours.

When I finished applying all the colours I added some water splatters. I die cut a black panel using a slimline scalloped die to go behind my stencilled panel.

The Hugs die was cut twice with black cardstock and once from a piece of black foam.

I adhered the rainbow panel to my black card piece and then added that to my card base.

For a finishing touch I added a few clear sequins.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

MFT Split Diagonal stencil
Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline Landscape Hearts die set
Lawn Fawn Large Slimline with sliders die set
Simon Says Stamp Big Hugs die

Holiday Snowflakes

Hi everyone,

Today I have 2 cards to share that I created using both the positive and negative from a large snowflake die.

I started by cutting a large panel with a stitched rectangle die and then cut a snowflake from the white piece. I then moved onto die cutting the snowflake from a few different colours of cardstock. I carefully taped all the snowflake pieces together on the back side and then laid them into the snowflake cutout background.

I added foam tape to the back of the panel and adhered it to the card base which was lined with a piece of diagonal stripe patterned paper.

For my second card I die cut the snowflake from a white panel. The background to my snowflake was created by blending 3 different colours of distress oxide inks. I added some white splatters to the panel and adhered it to my card base. I applied foam tape pieces around the edges of the snowflake and turned it into a shaker card using Snow Flurries mix from Taylored Expressions.

Both sentiments are from MFT stamps.

Well that's it for both cards and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Falling leaves thanks

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I created for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #131 where the theme is 'Falling for Fall'.

I started by creating my background using a stencil and 3 different colours of Distress inks and using my new Taylored Expressions blending brushes. I absolutely love them. The blending is so smooth and crisp. I also blending another leaf on a small piece of white cardstock, fussy cut it out and popped it onto my panel with some foam dots.

The whole panel was cut using a wonky stitched rectangle die.

I die cut the Thanks die with black cardstock a couple of time and glued them together. The other words were stamped with clear embossing powder and embossed with white embossing powder.

The whole panel was attached to my card to which I had adhered a black piece of cardstock. I added a few sequins to finish off my card.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Floral Mom

Hi everyone,

I have a card to share today that I am entering in both the Simon Says current Flickr challenge #122 where the theme is 'Mother's Day/Flowers' and their current Wednesday challenge where the theme is 'Anything Goes'.

I placed a stencil over the card base and blended some Simon Says Stamp ink with a Clarity brush to give it a nice soft effect.

The stamped image was foam mounted onto a piece of turquoise cardstock.

The sentiment was die cut several times from the same colour of turquoise cardstock and mounted onto my card. I used MFT's Wow die and turned it upside down.

I added some sequins and finished the card off by adding a small crystal to each of the sequin centres.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Christmas shaker

Hi everyone,

Today I have a shaker card created using the Merry Christmas Circle Frame die from My Favorite Things.

The sentiment die was cut again several times from plain white cardstock and the pieces glued together to give some extra thickness to my sentiment.

I added a piece of red patterned paper for my background cut to fit my card base.

Some Neat and Tangled sequins were added to my shaker. I addeda strip of red glitter cardstock and a strip of patterned paper to the left side of the card.

Well that completes my card for today.

Hi everyone,

Well I had a few days away in North Conway, New Hampshire checking out the leaves and they were just beautiful.

With the falling leaves comes Halloween which I absolutely love so I have 2 cards to share.
For my first card I made a Distress Oxide Ink background using Spiced Marmalade. I die cut the whole panel using a large stitched rectangle die.

The Halloween scene was die cut using a die from Impression Obsession and some black cardstock. I added the scene to the background using some foam tape. I used sentiment stamps from both Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn.
I added a few black sequins and some Glossy Accents to the windows of the house to resemble glass. Well that completes this card.

For the card below I started by creating my background on a piece of watercolour cardstock by blending Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks. I added some splatters of water to the piece. I die cut the panel using a Scalloped rectangle die.

The raccoon and cat were stamped and coloured with Copics. Die cut the fence using an Impression Obsession die. I used a Scalloped die and some black patterned paper for the background piece.

The sentiment was stamped on black cardstock and white embossed.

Glitter Weave

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card using Altenew's Weave Builder stencil and some Nuvo glimmer paste for an embossed effect.
Also entering this in the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge where the theme is 'Anything Goes' here and also their Flickr challenge of 'Embossing'.

Here's my card:

I first started by applying Fossilized Amber distress oxide ink to the first part of the stencil layering.
I turned the stencil and applied the second layer which was Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink.

When that was complete I laid the stencil back down so that the Peacock Feathers colour was exposed. Then I proceeded to add Nuvo glimmer paste to the stencil. Unfortunately the lovely sparkle doesn't show through in the phote. I set that aside to dry and once dry I ran the panel through my die cut machine using the Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle die set.

I then moved onto creating the sentiment by diecutting it 3 times in white, turquoise and yellow cardstock and stacked the 3 pieces on top of each other and gluing them in place slightly offset from each other.

I added some sequins and a Nuvo crystal drop over the 'i".

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Coolest birthday wishes

Hi everyone,

A week or so ago I posted on Instagram a bunch of popsicles that I had made using the Sunny Studio stamp and die set called Perfect Popsicles. Well here is a card that I made using some of them. I had so much fun stamping these out.

I stamped the popsicles with various colours of inks and die cut them out. I used a Sizzix die to cut a background for my popsicles and ran it through an embossing folder. I layered the die cut piece to a piece of patterned paper and then foam mounted the 3 popsicles on top. Added sequins in the same colours and stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder onto a piece of red cardstock cut with a smaller Sizzix die and added it to my card.

Well that's it for my card and thanks for stopping by.

sending Christmas Joy

Hi everyone.

Today I have a card to share that I created using a fun Mama Elephant stamp set that I won from them called Whimsical Winter. It's adorable!

I didn't have the matching die set so I decided to make this a one layer card by doing a little masking.

I started by stamping the deer and rabbit and then colouring them in with Copics. I stamped each image again onto some masking paper and then covered over my images. I then blended some distress ink over two thirds of the panel. I then took my Misti and with the masks in place stamped the tree over top,

Added the sentiment at the top, a few sequins and a red pompon for the deer's nose and that's it for this very easy card.

Thanks for stopping by,

Supplies:

Sequin Christmas

Hi everyone,

I have a card today that I created using a new Neat and Tangled die.

I started by blending Peacock Feathers Oxide distress ink onto the background panel. Once the colour was all blended I ran it through my die cutting machine with the Neat and Tangled cover plate die.

I wanted a little sparkle around the edges of my card base so I added some Versamark ink and some Psychedelic glitter embossing powder (company unkown as I have had it for a long time).

Once I had adhered the panel to the base card I then started to add sequins in all different sizes into each hole.

I embossed a small piece of cardstock with the same glitter and die cut the merry sentiment die.
Stamped the Christmas sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder.

Well that's it for this card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Neat and Tangled Falling Circles die cover plate
Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy add-on stamp set and die
Distress Oxide ink - Peacock Feathers
Neat and Tangled sequins
Psychedelic embossing powder (company unknown)

It's Christmas time again

Hi everyone,

I have to admit that I only recently have been purchasing Neat and Tangled stamps and dies and I must say that I absolutely love them. So fun!

Today's card is for the current challenge Neat and Tangled Sketch challenge here

I actually won the cute little stamp and die set called Get Yeti that I used for my card.

I started by creating the frame and the background for my card. I used 2 Lawn Fawn frames together to die cut the frame and the background from white cardstock at the same time.
For the inside frame I blended 2 different distress inks - Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar. Stamped the snow hills and snowflakes and heat embossed using white embossing powder. Sprinkled a few drops of water over the piece.

On the outside frame I used a distress Cracked Pistachio oxide ink and blended it over the entire frame piece.

Added the frame and the background piece to a  white cardbase.
The snowman and critters were coloured with Copics and clear Wink of Stella was added to the hat, scarf and the little birdie.
I added a touch of black enamel accent to the nose and eyes of the reindeer doggie.

Stamped the sentiment and popped up the little guys with foam tape and added a few clear sequins.

That's it for this card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Neat and Tangled Get Yeti stamp and die set
Lawn Fawn Cross-Stitched Rectangle die set
Distress Inks - Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar
Distress Oxide - Cracked Pistachio
Copics
