Always be a dreamer!

Hi everyone,

Well we are slowly approaching another year gone by. Wow! How the times just flies by.
The card that I created is for the current challenge at http://casethissketch.blogspot.ca/2014/12/case-this-sketch-104.html.
This is their sample:

Here's my card:

Isn't it fun to dream:)

I turned the design on its' side and created my background blending together a couple of Distress inks.
I then die cut the snowflake scene from Memory Box and the snowhill using a Lawn Fawn die and some patterned paper.
The snowflake die cut was added to the shaded background and then I popped up the snow hill with some foam tape.
I added the sentiment from SSS and a clear rhinestone and some clear Wink of Stella to the entire snowflake border but really didn't show up on camera. Oh well!
There you have my card for today,

and remember, dreams can come true!

More Christmas cards:)

Hi there,

I couldn't resist the current challenge at http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ to create a couple of cards using Penny Black products.
On my first card I used a Penny Black sticker which I layered over light turquoise paper and then added a dark brown die cut circle to the outside. Then I adhered the sticker which I accented with some Stickles for some added sparkle.
I used a large stitched die circle to outline the sticker piece. I then masked the large circle and stamped the snow background with white ink onto the whole card.
Added my sentiment (in French) which means Best Wishes and some dark brown rhinestone accents.

For my second card I stamped the beautiful tree with Versamark ink and white embossing powder on watercolour paper and then applied a wash of various distress inks over top until I achieved the look I wanted. Adhered that panel to some patterned paper and then popped the whole thing up with some foam tape to an embossed card front using a dot embossing folder. Added the metallic die sentiment in silver metallic.

Well that's it for today.

Season's Greetings

Happy weekend everyone,

Well this is hopefully my last Christmas card for this year as I have to get a move on and start preparing some things for Christmas Day. I needed something in a hurry and this is what I came up with last night.

I die cut the background using Lawn Fawn paper and a large stitched die. I inked up the scene stamp with Mint ink and stamped it on white cardstock and then die cut the piece with a rectangle stitched die. I like that the mint ink gives a nice soft effect. I then added the sentiment using Evergreen Bough, a glitter snowflake and Wink of Stella to the trees (which is really hard to see) but it does add a nice sparkle in real life.
Well, there you have it. Quick and simple.

Thanks for looking and wishing you all Happy Holidays!

Peace

Happy weekend everyone,
Well winter has arrived here and the days have been kind of gloomy. Not ideal for taking card photos. I had an awful time trying to capture the true whiteness and shimmer of this card. It kinda came out a little gray looking.
I made this card for the current White on White challenge at http://lawnscaping.blogspot.ca
Anyways here it is and unfortunate that you can't see all the sparkle.

I split the front panel using the stitched hillside dies and embossed one side of the panel and left the right side plain. I added some textured snow to the left side panel only. Then I die cut 3 of the snowflakes using glittery embossing powder.
I popped up the the left panel, adhered the right panel directly to the base and added the snowflakes.
Stamped the sentiment with grey ink and adhered various sized pearls.
Well there you have it.
Thanks for stopping by:)
