Used a Mister Huey mask for the background and ran through my Cuttlebug. Die cut flowers with a Spellbinders die using different papers, added some ribbon and sentiment. Inked the edges of the backgound with distress ink.
Thanks for taking a peek.

Have we come a long way baby....
Well today was an absolutely gorgeous summer's day here at home. Instead of spending the day at home and becoming totally enthralled with my cardmaking my husband and I decided to spend the day at Upper Canada Village which is about an hour from where we live.
It is a step back in time to the late 1800's to a more simpler type of life. There's a doctor, a cobbler, a blacksmith, a tinsmith, farmer etc. etc. A life without all the modern day gadgets. Whatever would we do without computers. It definitely was a much harder life but it was their life and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Nowadays we take so much for granted with all our modern conveniences. So be appreciative of everything you have. Enjoy your time and take the time to actually smell the roses. They really do smell delicious!!!

Happy 4th of July
I know it is a couple of days too early for this card but I wanted to showcase it now anyways. This is for my friends and family to the South. As we have just celebrated our July 1st birthday in Canada I wish all of you a very Happy 4th of July. Be safe!
