Happy Sunday everyone,
It's a lazy afternoon here. Enjoyed a nice yoga class this morning which set me up for the day. We just finished with a nice rainfall here which I quite enjoyed outside while sitting under my gazebo tent.
I find it so peaceful and relaxing listening to the rain. I think that's probably what inspired me to create this card.
Enjoy and have a happy day!

The Forest
Thought I would just pop in tonight to share this card with you.
I absolutely love, love this technique. I had tried this technique before in the past and was so happy that Kristina Werner introduced it again in today's Summer Camp card making class (Online Card Classes).
It is such a really fun technique but in my estimation used not nearly enough.
The results can be absolutely stunning depending on the colours. Imagine the wings on a butterfly done using this technique.
If you haven't tried it yet honestly you really should give it a go. Trust me you'll love it. When I showed it to my husband tonight after I had taken the photo his comment was that he thought this was one of the best cards I have ever done.
Makes me want to make some more.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by to have a look see.

Thinking of you
Just wanted to share this card with you. I'm taking the Summer Camp online card classes http://onlinecardclasses.com/summercardcamp2/?p=196
This card is based on the one that Jennifer McGuire taught in the class. I didn't have a feather die or stamp so I used flower petals from a stamp set that I have from quite a while ago (Bonnidee).
I stamped the petals on watercolour paper and clear embossed. I then applied various distress inks and spritzed with water.
Die cut the window with a plain circle and added a scalloped green circle to the back.
The little cluster circles (Outlines) is one stamp which I inked with a combination of green and brown inks.
Added the sentiment and some pearls.
I had so much fun making this card.
Thanks for stopping to have a look.
Inks used - Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Peacock Feathers, Gathered Twigs.

You're special
Well I caught up with the Online Card Classes Summer Camp 2 http://onlinecardclasses.com/summercardcamp2/
Seeing as I registered a week late for the classes it took me the better part of yesterday to get in the groove. I'm on track and ready to go for the start of week 2 tomorrow. Wow! This 1st week was so much fun.
I have uploaded 5 cards to Flickr so you can check them out.
This particular card was a technique that Shari Carroll shared.
I didn't quite have the exact supplies that she used so I substituted and used distress inks on watercolour paper.
Die cut several different coloured stars using the Cosmic Star set from Memory Box.
TFL!
Oh and I can't wait to see what this week brings. Tee hee!
I'm excited!

Thinking of you
Happy Saturday,
I am sharing this card today that I just finished for the current Hero Arts challenge which is to make a one layer card.
I used the Everyday Flowers stamp which I embossed in white on a masked section of the Kraft cs.
I then used the Inktense pencils (love these) to watercolour the flowers.
Cut a green curvy strip with my Exacto knife following the curve of my stamped image.
Added the sentiment in Walnut stain distress ink and used my Signa white pen to add some little white dots to the flower centres. Got to love that little white pen!!!
Added some sequins for a little pop of colour.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day!

Pretty in pink!
Happy Canada Day!
Hope you'll be enjoying some fireworks in your area tonight to celebrate our 146th Birthday. Woo hoo!
I have a card to share that I am entering in http://theplaydatecafe.blogspot.ca/2013/06/pretty-in-pastel.html?m=1
The challenge is to create a card using pastel colours (raspberry, lilac and pink).
I stamped the flowers from the Penny Black petal party set with Color Box chalk inks in berrylicious, pink and lavender which I masked before stamping each one.
The sentiment is from WOW! Everyday Sentiments.
I had a nice round of black dots in the centre of the raspberry flower with enamel accents but before it was completely dry I smudged it with my finger. Hence the big pink button. Gotta love those embellishments.
Thanks for stopping and enjoy,
Judy,
