Happy Spring

Hi everyone,

Finally Spring has arrived but it didn't quite look like that when I woke up this morning with about 10 cm of fresh snow.
Anyways it pretty much all melted once the sun came out.
I have a card today for the current challenge at  http://casology.blogspot.ca cue card is Spring.

Here's my card:
I used the new SSS Raindrops stencil with whipped spackle masking off a section as to not cover the entire card.
Then I stamped the umbrella and coloured with Copis which I fussy cut. I then covered the entire piece with Glossy Accents for a wet look.
Stamped the sentiment and added a few sequins.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

More Easter goodie bags

Hi there,

Well I'm back home from a nice relaxing sunshine getaway to Cuba and back to the cold weather and lots of snow still. I know Spring is already here but it doesn't quite feel like it.
I thought I would pop into my craft room and share with you the remaining goodie bags that I made for Easter.

Well I've certainly given my Goodie Bag die from Lawn Fawn a great workout. Here are the rest of the 21 bags that I created. Enjoy!!!

Easter goodie bags

Hi everyone,

Remember back in February for Valentine's Day I posted the cute little goodie bags that I had made for the occasion. Well I am at it again but this time for Easter.
These are the first 2 of at least 20 that I have made so far using the new Lawn Fawn Eggstra Special stamps and dies. Such a fun set!!!! I filled each one with shredded paper which I purchased from the Dollar store in yellow, green and purple colours and added a handful of brightly coloured foil wrapped chocolate Easter eggs. Now I have to just have to get around to taking photos of the other bags. Well there you have it.
Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone,

Hope you are having a great day!
When I was thinking about sending my daughter and fiancé a little something for Valentine's Day I started with creating 2 treat bags using the Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag die. These were the first 2 bags:

I decided to show them to some of my work colleagues and that was the start of something big! I ended up making about 30 bags in total and filling them with Hershey Kisses. Here are some of my creations. I apologize for the not so good photos as I took them in my office but I must say that the setting was less than ideal.
Anyways here they are:

thanks

Hello there,

I'm just sharing a card today that I created for the Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple 4 from a technique that Jocelyn Olson shared in class - Layered Embossing Paste Technique.

Here's my card:

I started with added a mix of watercolours on 2 corners. I then heat set the colours so I could move on to adding the white embossing paste over my stencil. I set that aside to dry thoroughly before adding another stencil of leaves to each corner but this time using translucent embossing paste. When that was dry I realized it didn't show up very well so I added some metallic ink with a sponge dauber. I the n die cut 2 vellum butterflies and then added my sentiment which I die cut twice, once in red and once in white.
Added some twine and some sequins and there you have it!

Thanks for stopping bye,

Judy

Supplies:

Studio Calico Huey's chevron stencil
Magenta Leaves stencil
Dreamweaver white and translucent embossing pastes
Koi watercolors
SSS thanks die
Memory Box Isabella butterfly
Tsukineko Galaxy Gold pigment ink
Twine

Love you,

Hi everyone,

Today I'm sharing a card that I created for the Wednesday challenge at Simon Says Stamp here for their 'Have a Heart' theme.

I used an Edgeabilities die from Spellbinders and embossed the bottom portion of the panel. I then took a piece of patterned vellum and die cut the large heart. Used the small heart die for the gold and red hearts cut from glossy and metallic cardstock.
Added some red splatters to the background and then assembled the hearts in place.
Gold embossed the sentiment and there you have it!

Judy

Fun flowers

Hi there,

Today I am sharing a card that I created for the One Year Anniversary at http://thecardconcept.blogspot.ca/2015/01/card-concept-100-happy-one-year.html
This is their photo source:

Here is what I came up with.
I decided to go with the Clean and Simple look for my card:

I stamped and masked each of the flowers and embossed them in white and them I coloured the flowers using Inktense Pencils as they are nice and vibrant.
When I was finished with the colouring I fussy cut the flowers and adhered to the card base with foam squares. Added the sentiment and some sequins.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone,

Well we're onto another year of crafting fun. I just love this hobby!
I want to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy new year filled with lots of wonderful things.
I am entering this card in the "Anything Goes" challenge at http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-11/

The background was created using 4 different ink colours which were blended together then the panel was cut using a large rectangle stitched die.
After that was done I added some white and watermark ink circles. Kind of reminds me of
champagne bubbles but without the headache lol!

Added the Happy die (which was cut 3 times) to which I added little dots of Stickles for a little glitter effect.
Stamped the sentiment and added a little cupped sequin.

Well that's it for today.

Off to re-organizing my craft room and trying to purge some stuff. Seems this is something I always like to do at the start of a new year. You know what they say - out with the 'old' and in with the 'new' and my local craft store is having a big sale tomorrow. Yeah!!!

Hugs,

Judy
