Chevrons,

Hi there,

It took me a while to take the photo of this card but I finally got around to it.
I made this card for the current challenge here:

I started with my stencil/mask and added various colours of Distress inks making sure to mask off each strip so that I didn't overlap the inks into each other.
Added a stamped in black stitched line between the colours. Stamped the sentiment in black and added a few sequins and there you have it.

I popped the whole panel up with foam tape and applied to a background of orange cardstock and then added to my card base.

That's it for today and thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Supplies:

Studio Calico Huey's chevron mask
Impression Obsession Borders stamp set WP31

Sweet friend

Hi everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far.
Today I have a card to share that I created for the current embossing challenge at:

Here's my card:

I used a stamp set from Cas-ual Fridays Stamps called Beanstalks.

I stamped the image 3 times with different coloured inks and then clear embossed the images. Maybe a little bit hard to see the embossing but in real life it's very pretty and shiny.
I then added the sentiment stamped with Versafine black ink and die cut the panel using a stitched die from MFT.
Added a few sequins in matching colours and popped the whole panel up with foam tape.

A very quick, clean and simple card.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look!

Judy

Supplies:
Cas-ual Fridays Beanstalks stamp set CFSS-13-004
MFT - Die-namics Blueprints 13
ColorBox inks
Versafine Onyx black ink

Birthday Bear

Hi everyone,

Hope you're having a great summer so far. I find that when the nice weather is here I sometimes don't want to be in my craft room creating as much. I like to spend as much time as possible outside enjoying the nice weather. That being said I have a card that I would like to share using the new Lawn Fawn Party Animal stamp and coordinating die set. I just LOVE this set.
Here's my card:

I used a large circle die to create the window from the brown polka dot paper. I then added a panel of multi coloured polka dot paper behind the circle opening.
Supplies used are all Lawn Fawn except the clouds which is the Puffy Cloud die set from Memory Box.
Oh and the white polka dot paper is from Doodlebug.
I coloured all the images with Copics and added Glossy Accents to the balloon and Wink of Stella to the bear's hat, horn and cake and also to the little birdie's hat.

I think this is just such a fun set!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!

Judy

hello friend

Happy Saturday,

I have a quick card today to share with you that I created for the current 'Repeat' challenge here at

Here's my card;

I basically made a stencil from a transparency sheet by die cutting the sentiment. I started at the top with the stencil by applying the yellow ink first with a small sponge dauber and then repeated the process 2 more times with different ink colours.
The transparency allowed me to see where I had to apply the ink each time.
I then stamped a smaller sentiment and a little flower accent with black ink.

Quick and easy! Well that's it for now.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Supplies:

WPlus9 Hand Lettered Hello die
Distress Inks - Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters
Avery Elle - Ellie stamp set (flower and friend sentiment)
Versafine Onyx black ink

Happy 4th of July!

Hi everyone,

I would like to wish all my neighbours south of the border a very Happy 4th of July. Hope you have a great day! And for those of you who happen to be also celebrating a birthday today this card is for you. I actually met someone today who is so lucky!
With that I have a card that I created for the occasion using all Simon Says Stamp products
which I am entering into the following challenges:

http://aaacards.blogspot.ca

Patriotic theme act http://addictedtocas.blogspot.ca/2015/07/challenge-67-patriotic.html and the Red, White and blue theme at http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.ca/2015/07/week-231.html

I started with the Falling Stars stencil and added blue and red inks. Stamped the Wishing sentiment with both inks and the Happy Birthday with Versamark ink and heat embossed using their white embossing powder on navy card stock.
Decided to add a little more interest by dry embossing around the edges using their Stitched Rectangles die set.
Added a final touch with some sequins and there you have it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy celebration. Be safe!

Judy

Be creative

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card that I created for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr group challenge #22 where the theme is 'Rainbow' and also for their  current Wednesday We're Going Dotty challenge http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/

I used a stencil from Memory Box and randomly applied different coloured distress inks using a dauber. As you can see I am no Laura Bassen when it comes to creating anything using the colours of the rainbow. She is the MASTER!
When I was finished that I thought I would add a little interest by die cutting the left side panel using a new edge from MFT. Added a panel cut the same way in black and popped the whole thing up with foam tape. Another trick on one of Laura's recent videos was added little rain drop effects using Glossy Accents, which I did.
Die cut the 'Be' from SSS and added the sentiment from the same set.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy

Supplies used:

Memory Box Bubbles stencil
My Favorite Things Stitched Basic Edges die
SSS Be die and sentiment
Various Distress Inks
Glossy Accents

You're so sweet!

Hi everyone and Happy Canada Day!

I am so excited to say that I finally have my MISTI tool from http://www.mysweetpetunia.com/ which I picked up in New Hampshire last week. I live in Canada and to have it shipped here would be quite expensive what with the duty and taxes that it would incur.
I haven't really given it a complete workout yet but did use it when creating this card.

The card that I created was done using the Sweet Smiles stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I had stamped the gumball machine with black ink using the MISTI and I guess I hadn't inked up the stamp enough so had to stamp the image again. Perfection!

Wow! This totally takes the guess work out of re-stamping your image perfectly every time. This by far is the best purchase I have made in a long time. A little on the expensive side but well worth it.

Here's my card:

The image was stamped with black ink and coloured using my Copics. I die cut the bottom panel using the new LF cloud die set with their patterned papers and used the remaining piece left from that cut for the top portion of the card then added another die cut piece behind the image. I then covered the entire gumball machine with a coat of glossy accents and added some Wink of Stella to the red parts of the machine.
It might be a little hard to see but I also added some circles to the white background of the card using
clear Versamark ink and the gumball stamp from the set.
Added some LF twine and the sentiment and that's it.

Thanks for stopping by,

Judy
