Butterfly hello

 Hi everyone,

Well Spring is here and so is my card colours. I made this for the current SSSFlickr challenge where the theme is to make a Spring slimline card.

Here’s mine.

I used a Simon Says Stamp stencil to create my background with 2 different colours of  Distress oxide inks.

I used a couple of different slimline dies to cut down my panel.

The butterfly was created with Silver alcohol ink card stock and a green colour of alcohol ink.

I die cut the sentiment twice in silver metallic and black card stock. To finish my card I added some bubble embellishments.

Below is a closeup of the butterfly.

Well that’s it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by 🙏🏻

Bee kind

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I created for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #133 where the theme is to 'Emboss it like a Boss'.

I die cut a panel with a Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle die and then placed a stencil over top and began blending 2 colours of Distress Oxide inks over it. With the stencil in place I spread a layer of translucent embossing paste over top. I set the whole thing aside and created my die sentiment.

I used a Simon Says Stamp die for the Be die and layered several layers together. I then went onto diecutting just the 'B' again with several layers of black cardstock.

I stamped the word kind onto a piece of black cardstock which was die cut with a Hero Arts die hexagon shape in keeping with my stencil honeycomb pattern.

The Bee was glued to my card base and the kind was foam mounted.

The whole panel was adhered to a blank card that was embossed along the edges using the same rectangle die that I used to cut out my stencil piece.

For a finishing touch I added some snow crystals from Studio Katia.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Butterfly birthday

Hi everyone,

I love the new Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil. It makes for really pretty butterflies. There is an 'Anything Goes' challenge on Simon Says Stamp's Flickr group so I am adding my card.

I used 2 different butterflies from Memory Box to create the butterflies with the Deco Foil. I used a piece of black glitter cardstock to add the outline butterfly on top. The background panel was die cut from a piece of patterned paper using a Stitched border die from Pretty Pink Posh.

I stamped the sentiment and white heat embossed. I added the patterned panel to a piece of black cardstock which was adhered to the card base. The die sentiment was cut 3 times and glued together. The stamped sentiment and the butterflies were added with foam.

That's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Winter Snowflakes

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I will be entering in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #109 where the theme is to 'Let your stencils shine".

I used a pretty delicate Memory Box stencil call Winter Snowflake Lace on Desert Sand cardstock with Memories Unicorn pigment ink and a small finger dauber.

Once I applied the ink to the entire stencil I set that aside and created my sentiment using only the words from a Simon Says Ornament die and some gold shiny cardstock.

When the background was dry I die cut the panel with a large stitched rectangle die.

I added some Pretty Pink Posh crystals and applied the sentiment. The whole panel was then mounted onto a piece of black cardstock and then added to my card base.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Memory Box Winter Snowflake Lace stencil
Simon Says Stamp Merry Christmas Ornament die
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die

Painted thank you

Hi everyone,

Today's card is for the current SSSflickrchallenge where the theme is Dots &/or Stripes. I chose to
add a little of both on my card.

I started by creating my background using 3 different colours of Distress inks and a SSS stencil.
Once I had blended the colours I decided to use 2 sizes of SSS stitched rectangle dies to create the frame for my sentiment. I can keep the middle leftover piece for another project.
I stamped the Concord & 9th bold sentiment (which I just love) with black ink and added a little accent to the panel from the same stamp set.
Added a couple of splatters and layered the frame against some polka dot patterned paper onto my card base.
There you have it. That's my card.

Thanks for stopping by,

Supplies:
SSS Stitched Rectangle die set
SSS Diagonal Stripe stencil
Concord & Ninth Painted Thank You Stamp Set
Distress Inks - Squeezed Lemonade, Shaded Lilac, Seedless Preserves
Memory Box - Viola 6x6 paper pack

Floral thanks

Hi everyone,

I've been a little absent from my craft room lately as we have been working on our kitchen remodel which has been taking up a considerable amount of our time. I'm probably a little rusty in the card creating world.
And now that the weather is nice it'll be time to get out and get some planting done. Off to buy flowers this afternoon.

I did manage to squeeze in some time last night though to create this card for the current SSSflickrchallenge#71 where the theme is to use a 'Favorite Technique'. I chose ink blending using a stencil.

I used a Simon Says Stamp stencil to create my background using 3 of their ink colours.

Once I was happy with the blending I die cut the panel using a stitched rectangle scallop die. Die cut the flowers in black, the sentiment in both black and white cardstock and the black frame using the same stitched rectangle scallop die.

I then added some Nuvo crystal drops and popped up the whole striped panel using foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by,

You are the best!

Happy Monday everyone,

Today's card is for the current Wednesday challenge at Simon Says Stamp to use more than one die or punch and they are featuring Memory Box products.

I used the Chloe Stem die which is one of my favourites and die cut it twice in pink and green.
Used a stitched die for the background and added some paint spatters.

Die cut the you sentiment in black and stamped the rest of the sentiment.

Added foam tape to the entire background and mounted it over some pink polka dot patterned paper.

That's it,

You are loved

Hi everyone,

Well I've had a busy week at work and still enjoying the 30 Day Colouring challenge from Kathy Racoosin.

Here's my card:

I used a die from Memory Box die cut from gold metallic cardstock as a stencil to prepare the background behind the flowers. I laid the piece down and started applying various Distress inks and a SSS ink. When the flowers were all coloured I blended some of the colours with water. I then sprayed the die cut piece with some adhesive spray and applied it directly over the flowers. The 'You' was die cut from shiny black cardstock and the sentiment was stamped with gold ink and a few sequins were added here and there.

Thanks for stopping by,

Supplies:

Memory Box English Rose Corner die
SSS You die and stamp set
Distress inks - Barn Door, Picked Raspberry
SSS Teeny Bikini ink

Christmas wishes

Hi everyone,

This week I'm taking the Online Card Classes Holiday Style. I seem to be a little bit behind but managed to do a little catch up today as I had the day off work.
Here's the card I created following Debby Hughes' sample from Day 1 of the class.

I stamped the backgound with various size snowflakes and embossed in silver and white embossing powders. I then applied colours from Koi - Payne's Gray and Butterfly Wing blue from Peerless blending the background.
Added the splatters with Koi - cobalt blue and white using a Hero Arts white dauber ink which I watered down a bit.
I didn't have a long sentiment so I used 2 different words from Lawn Fawn's Baaah Humbug set and cut them apart and angled them on a curve using my Misti tool.
The snowflake border is a Memory Box die and silver embossed.
Added some silver thread and that's it for this card.

Thanks for stopping by,

Supplies:
Memory Box Frostyville Border die
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside borders die set

Hero Arts Snowflakes stamp set CL 562

Geometric birthday!

Hi there,

Today I have a card that I created for the current Geometric challenge at Virginia's View Challenge here

I started by creating the background with a Memory Box die and white cardstock. Added the die cut piece to a black background and then set to colouring each of pieces with various Distress Inks.
Once I had applied all the ink colours I added them back to the background like a puzzle.
I die cut the sentiment several times and layered Gold metallic card stock to the top layer.
Added some sequins and layered the whole panel on to a card base.

smile

Hi there,

Just popping in to share a card that I created for the current sketch challenge here.
Here's the sketch

and here's my card

I started out by cutting the green panel to the desired shape and thought it would add a little interest so I created a border to highlight my sentiment by die cutting the lower edge using a stitched border die.
The sentiment was created by colouring a piece of white cardstock with 2 different Copic colours. I then die cut the sentiment so the top portion would have the colours and then applied clear embossing ink to the lower portion and added some glitter embossing powder.
I die cut the butterfly with white vellum and then coloured the backside with Copics here and there as to not colour the whole back. It sort of gives a little splotchy effect.

Well that's it.

Thanks for stopping,

Judy
