Foil snowflakes

Hi everyone,

Today I have another very quick foil card using Gina K Foil-Mates call Blizzard.

The quality of the photo isn't the best but I was trying to capture all the lovely glitter of the background.

I used Deco Foil Silver Star and the Foil-Mate run through my laminator to create my background piece. This was then die cut using a Zig Zag rectangle die.

The black background was die cut using a stitched rectangle die and the word Joy was die cut with the same black cardstock.

I popped up the whole panel with foam tape, added the sentiment directly onto the snowflake background and gave it a good coating of clear Wink of Stella.

Well, pretty simple but that's my card for today and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Gina K Foil-Mates - Blizzard
Deco Foil Silver Star transfer sheets
SSS Stitched Rectangle die set
Lawn Fawn Zig Zag die set
Lawn Fawn Scripty Joy die
Wink of Stella clear

Love from our home to yours

Hi everyone,

Well I guess we have all been busy shopping at some of the great crafty sales this past weekend. I know I did.

I have a card today to share that I created using some Lawn Fawn products and also a stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I am also entering this in the lawnfawnatics challenge here and also Simon Says Stamp current flickr challenge.

I started my card by first die cutting the white panel using a Wonky Stitched rectangle die.
After that was done I added my stencil and applied some embossing paste that has a bit of glitter in it.

I set that aside to dry and went on to creating my scene. All the images were stamped with black ink and then coloured with Copics. The hillside was die cut from a piece of light blue cardstock which I had previously stamped with a large background stamp from Hero Arts and then stamped the sentiments.

I layered a piece of patterned paper to my entire card base and adhered the panel with foam tape. I added some of the pieces with foam tape and some were adhered flat to the panel.

I did a mirror image stamping technique so that I could get the smoke from the chimneys in two different directions. My Mirror Image stamp is one that I have had for a very long time from Rubber Stampede.

Some Liquid Applique was applied to the roof tops and Stickles and Liquid Pearls to the trees.

Well that's it for my card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil
Lawn Fawn Winter Village stamps and die
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside borders

Hero Arts Magical Background stamp
Marvy Uchida Liquid Applique - white

Foil Christmas card

Hi everyone,

I have a card today created using a Gina K new Foil Mate called Holiday Flora.

This is a new technique to me so it meant that I had to buy a laminator which I did from Costco for CAD $49.99. The Royal Sovereign to be precise. It's a great tool and I'm sure this card will be the first of many foiled cards.

I used a Deco Foil transfer sheet called Emerald Watercolor for the background. I just love the different colours it created on my card even more so in real life when you see it up close. I tried to capture some of the beautiful colours with my photo.
I die cut a piece of Lawn Fawn patterned paper to create a frame using a Stitched Scalloped die and the main panel was also cut using the same die.

I added the frame to a plain white card base and then popped up the panel with some foam tape.
The sentiment was die cut with green glitter cardstock and then adhered to the panel.

Well that's it for my card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Gina K Foil Mates Holiday Flora
Deco Foil Emerald Watercolor
MFT Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame
MFT Dienamics Merry Christmas die
Lawn Fawn Snow Day 6x6 petite paper pack
Glitter cardstock

Holiday Style Christmas cards

Hi everyone,

Today I have 3 cards that I created in 3 different colours using the Sunny Studio Stamp set called Holiday Style and also the the Silver Bell die.

My first card was stamped with Lobster Dye ink from Lawn Fawn. The bell was die cut from some shiny red cardstock. The background paper is from Lawn Fawn.

My second card is done with Simon Says Stamp Scuba ink and turquoise blue shiny cardstock for the bell. The background paper is from Lawn Fawn.

My third card was stamped with Hero Arts Soft Sand shadow ink and gold metallic cardstock for the bell. The background paper is also from Lawn Fawn.

The pine bough on each card was stamped using my Misti, first with the each colour that I had chosen and then stamped a second time with Versamark ink over top so that I could heat emboss the bough with sparkle embossing powder. Each panel was die cut using a Stitched Rectangle die. I used a mini dauber to blend a little colour over each pine bough and also around the edges of each panel. Each bell was strung using gold and silver metallic thread.

Hard to see from the photos but there is really a lot of sparkle to the pine bough of each card.

Well that's it for these cards and thanks for stopping by.

Sequin Christmas

Hi everyone,

I have a card today that I created using a new Neat and Tangled die.

I started by blending Peacock Feathers Oxide distress ink onto the background panel. Once the colour was all blended I ran it through my die cutting machine with the Neat and Tangled cover plate die.

I wanted a little sparkle around the edges of my card base so I added some Versamark ink and some Psychedelic glitter embossing powder (company unkown as I have had it for a long time).

Once I had adhered the panel to the base card I then started to add sequins in all different sizes into each hole.

I embossed a small piece of cardstock with the same glitter and die cut the merry sentiment die.
Stamped the Christmas sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder.

Well that's it for this card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Neat and Tangled Falling Circles die cover plate
Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy add-on stamp set and die
Distress Oxide ink - Peacock Feathers
Neat and Tangled sequins
Psychedelic embossing powder (company unknown)

Holiday Greetings

Happy Monday everyone,

I have a card to share today that I created for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge here

I chose the Lawn Fawn Winter Fox stamp and die for my card which is from one of their 2011 releases.

I coloured the fox using Copics and added some Nuvo Crystal drops to the mug and a little Liquid Applique to the tip of his tale.

The background was created by blending 3 different distress inks and die cut that panel using a large stitched rectangle die.
I die cut mini snowflakes from white cardstock and adhered them to the card with a little Tombow Mono glue, mounted the fox with a little foam tape and stamped my sentiment.

The base of the card was done with a SSS stencil and some Festive Berries distress ink. I applied the ink only to the edges with a mini dauber and not the whole card base. I thought the bright red stripes were a nice contrast.

I adhered the whole panel with foam tape and that finishes my card.

Thanks for stopping by,

Lawn Fawn sentiment from Winter Village stamp set
SSS Diagonal Stripe Stencil

Christmas tag

Hi everyone,

Today I have a tag that I created for 2 challenges. The first one is the SSS Wednesday Challenge here to create a Christmas gift tag and also for Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of
ChristmasTags here

Here's my tag:

I started out by diecutting a circle from a SSS stitched circle die using white cardstock and then applied a Tim Holtz stencil to it. I blended in various Distress ink colours using a mini dauber over the stencil.

I then moved onto diecutting the sentiment also from SSS 3 times. I layered the red cardstock sentiment slightly offset over a black die cut sentiment piece. I purposely left in the little pieces in the letters of the sentiment so that I would not have any white pieces of cardstock showing through the letters.

I die cut a piece of glitter red cardstock using a Lawn Fawn large stitched circle.  Layered the stencilled piece onto the glitter cardstock using some Sookwang double sided tape. As this is quite strong tape I wanted to make sure it would stick to the glitter cardstock. I also cut a stitched circle from some white cardstock and adhered that to the back of the tag so you can write a to and from on the back if attaching to a gift or a bottle of wine or whatever.

I added a little clear Wink of Stella to the sentiment and some decorative ribbon to the top and that completes this tag.

Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

SSS Merry Christmas die
SSS Stitched Circles die set
Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Circle die set
Tim Holtz Festive stencil
Distress Oxide ink - Candied Apple
Distress Inks - Wild Honey, Gathered Twigs, Mowed Lawn
Red Glitter cardstock
Wink of Stella - clear
Decorative ribbon
